Its tempting to say everything is great after the win we had but Isla as a defender definitely worries me.

I'm sorry but you're wrong. Yun and Isla are good players, that's not what I'm saying. But neither are suited to playing full-back and both were found wanting defensively at Sunderland.

Not sure what on earth Isla was doing for that Wickham header... he had no idea Wickham was behind him. Shocking.

Not sure Rambo and Les would of let Simmo go so easily.

Gotta disagree. Isla wasnt great but Yun was. Neither were "ripped apart".

Exactly, also credibility vanishes when he says Yun isn't a full back.

Isla had a difficult game at Sunderland, but previous 10-15 game he did play very well and much better than Simpson, Young or any other right back we have had in 10-15 years.

Isla and Yun every match for me instead of Onuoha and Hill.
Just hope we get a settled defence - same as the one who got the clean sheet agains Sunderland

Every full back gets beaten by wingers, they get too tight they get skinned or the ball passed around them. They stand off to make the winger cross and they get moaned at. They can't make a perfect challenge every time.

Both are better than anythig else we have and are both the best we have had in ages. Isla is as good defensively as Simpson but quicker and better going forward. Yun is streets ahead of hill, traore or bae at LB.

                            Very harsh comments on here.
They have both been excellent for us this season.

AS for moaning he's standing off.... maybe he was trold to by Ramsey becasue Playing against Johnson, who is an old fashioned tricky winger. I'm sure if he'd lunged in for tackles every time and got beaten by a trick the same people would've said he was doing the wrong thing.

I wouldn't say excellent personally but they haven't been bad overall. Isla going forward is brilliant but defensively is left wanting in my opinion. Yun is learning every game, but if we stay up, I'll be amazed if either is first choice full back next season.

Both comfortable on the ball and look better going forwards. However agree that describing them as getting ripped apart very harsh. They both played well and a feature for me was how the team looked better on the ball. A large part of that was the full backs and their linking with the midfield. Yun coming back in particular was a big feature for us at Sunderland. His energy has been sorely missed. Playing people like him allows us to accommodate the likes of Niko. Much better balance overall.
