What do you mean fobbed back? Its like it is a bad job. He could have easily done management his whole life if he wanted to but why would he when being an academy boss is actually a lot less stressful and alot more stable.

      Correct.

        So you're assuming that yeah?

Ever had an argument/debate with someone and a some point it hits that your actually in the wrong. But this argument has been going on for so long that it almost feels impossible to hold your hands up and admit defeat so instead just end up arguing for the sake of arguing..... I wonder which poster is doing that in this thread

Have you not watched Ramsey in his interviews? He's desperate for the job! Who said it was a bad job? Why be a cleaner though when you've proved yourself (providing he does) as a team leader?

Stop beating around the bush and say what you mean and back it up with facts.

If there is a noticeable change in the squad and they can get clear of trouble what will tf do? Seems silly to even talk with another manager until we know what we have in Ramsey. Does he have a shot to keep the job even after the season if we stay up?

Spot on! Surely giving the job to Ramsey should be based on the incentive of getting it on a full time basis.

Lots of positivity regarding Ramsey however not for me I'm afraid, too much of a gamble and too much at stake to be taking risks like this at this stage of the season.
Two games as manager of the R's and that's good enough?? I know the team have reacted well however this job is way beyond him......I often read this website and this decision was enough for me to sign up and register.....I hope I'm wrong however the thought of back to the Championship for at least another year is not appealing at all.

                      Welcome Gazza!

Who would you appoint? I agree it's a gamble but I believe it's happened due to the lack of options available.

                      • Thanks for the welcome Matty.

I think we need a Pulis/Allardyce character someone who is proven in a dogfight.

Personally I like Sherwood however a short successful spell at Spurs doesn't tick all the boxes needed.

If as i am now convinced we will be relegated (I will come back on and say i was wrong if we stay up) then I think Warburton or Sherwood would be Ideal.

Very strange answer to that question - just show you do not read what others are writing in here

Big Sam would be a very wise choice regardless of the league we find ourselves in. Contract up at West Ham in the summer and if Ramsey has only been told it's his job until the summer then I think Sam should be the manager we try to attract.

We should have sacked Harry earlier and Pulis would have been a shoe in for the job but it was left to late.

Not sure about Sherwood to be honest. You have to question what his demands are. He's been interviewed for numerous jobs and in line to take over but it's always fell through.
