What would be nice is if TF come out and explained the situation regarding Ramsey and any possible manager, as I think it's fair to say his last tweet caused confusion now that Ramsey has the role until the end of the season. TF wants transparency doesn't he? A simple statement saying Ramsey will be manager until the end of the season while the search continues for a full time replacement to begin next season or that Ramsey will be considered for the role also.

We as fans have asked/demanded no more players here for the pay day (bosingwa, SWP etc) and I would argue that ths too should apply to managers.
Sherwoods reported demands were ridiculous - up to 2.6 mil a year and a bonus if we stay up? Based on what? 6 months previous managerial experience. If we had got big Sam it too would be for the packet he gets at the end of the month.
The club needs restructuring and a much tighter control of money we have previously thrown about with disastrous effect.
CR is a coach with a good pedigree as a coach who wants to manage (it seems), he has the team playing with more interest and the majority of the fans behind him.
NOONE could guarantee saving us and a potential disastrous scenario of relegation and still having to pay a manager millions a year (FFP rules remember) has thankfully been avoided
One of the first prudent things TF and the board have done
Good luck CR the majority are right behind you

Personally don't have a problem with him being on twitter, but do feel that he should be using it to communicate properly.
With regards to the manager situation, he has simply caused unnecessary confusion rather than give any meaningful information.

Really happy for Ramsey.
Seems a really good coach and will work towards getting the best out of our players rather than always buying.
If he keeps us up then he will most probably get a contract and I think that's the best decision.
Think he has shown glimpses of what he can bring - Phillips being brought back in, making the team press constantly against sunderland, played doughty.
Will be interesting to see how he fares, we just all need to get behind him

Until then, and if, and a bloody big if, it doesnt happen, where is the confusion?
Summary.
With 15 games to go chairman says 'ive got my dream manager'. Said chairman then asks the caretaker to take over for the remaining games.
Where is the confusion? Being honest and non argumentative either,Last edited by Kevin Mcleod; 12-02-2015, 09:28 PM.

But anyway, announcing something like that is bound to get people wondering. Not going to be overly critical, just think it was a tad unwise.

2) Once it is officially confirmed that he's got the gig til the end of the season, IMO it should be with the added incentive that if he keeps us up then he should be rewarded with a permanent contract.
3) All talk of a new manager/coach arriving in the summer should be suspended until our PL fate this season is known, to allow the players/staff the best possible chance of staying focused on the huge task in hand.
IMO
YMMV
ETC...

Why should the club announce something before there ready just because the press think they know whats going on. Should they have announced Sherwood because the press said he was getting the job
