'Potentially' leaving the door open for Paul Clement....

Just speculation nothing more, nothing less, purely because he's 2nd favourite to come here..... wasnt long ago that Sherwood 'had' the job. And only a couple of days ago that Laudrup was coming here! I'll believe it when it happens!!

Really hope Ramsey gets the rest of the season though!
    SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

Basically Ramsey is getting the job till the end of season.. If we go down we will re-appoint someone but if we stay up he will probably stay longer.

If Ramsey keeps us up, he deserves a shot at the job permanently.
To keep up a team that looked like we were never going to survive shows he has the ability to manage and just think how he might do from an even start with a squad more of his choosing.
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

        2015/2016, average at best.....

        2016/2017, same old, same old....

        2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!

Keep Ramsey in the chair. If he keeps us up and the team clearly show an appreciation for his guidence and deliver the goods to do so, then give him a 2 year deal.

Glad Ramsey has got it. If we stay up he has to be given it full time. If Clement is TF's dream manager, then he's got some decision to make in the summer if we stay up!

If we go down I'd be shocked if Clement fancied it but you never know, he might be desperate to kick-start his managerial career and it's his boyhood club.

              I'd keep Ramsey full stop.

My concern would be that Clement will be another Rene Meulensteen. Top coach, poor manager.

Right so, we are in a relegation dogfight and we've given the job of keeping us up to a guy with no managerial experience. Then if all goes well in the summer we'll replace him with another guy who has no managerial experience.

I'm not saying Ramsey won't keep us and Clement won't be a good manager, but it's certainly a massive risk on both counts.

Finaly a very good disecion from tony. i would have done exactly the same, keep ramsey till end of season and hope he can prove himself.

If it all goes ti ts up, i wont moan at tony as i would have done the same in his position.

i only wish he acted on redcrapp back in december.

Should of sacked Redknapp after the Everton match and given Pulis the job. QPR then would have an experienced manager who has never been relegated.

Now they are taking a huge gamble on either Ramsey keeping QPR up before possibly appointing the inexperienced Clement, or will it be Laudrup?

Who knows perhaps someone like Bilic might ne his surprise.

If Ramsey can keep QPR up, whose to say he does not deserve a 1 or 2 year deal?

I know what you mean. But I am reassured by the fact that Ancelotti took him to PSG from Chelsea when he went there as his assistant and then carried on the relationship when he took over at Real Madrid. There is no doubting his coaching ability but whether he is management material is still to be answered. Also tie in the fact he has connections to the club; his dad played for us, he supported us as a kid etc. all seem to me to be positive reasons to appoint him as manager. Plus this appointment seems to be more of a 1st team coach than manager so maybe this will suit us and clement better in his first job.
