  • the differences between yesterday and previous away attempts

Basically, I am preparing a look at what changed in terms of the player performances, the tactical analysis and just what exactly was different between yesterday and earlier in the season away from home. Hoping to release the final produced video tomorrow or Friday but I want to gauge some opinions as to what was different. So far, I have the Yun vs Hill change, Fer in the middle, Phillips hugging the line very high up, Rio playing high quality passes and the change to a structured 4231. Have any of you got anything else I can add?

Obviously facts haha, but it was also the performance i feel. We played with energy and I'm curious as to why you all think that happened

It was the basic stuff that made all the difference imo… Pressing when they had the ball and off the ball movement when we were in possession, which gives our players options and lets us retain the ball. Under Redknapp we always looked panicky in possession and there was no movement, the players seemed to have a better understanding of where each other were / should be yesterday, and they had a game plan of sorts.

It's simply #### you'd expect at an u18s team, just shows how shite Arry truly was.

working hard off the ball , not inviting teams onto us all the time and lastly we were up for it more than sunderland they must of thought they would roll us looking at our dismal away record

after a while some players won't play for a manager, Lambert and Pearce being examples. Look at Forest since Psycho got the boot, worried Villa may now go on a run
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

We managed to pass to each other, that actually was the main difference which set in motion all the other good things

This. Bob up by himself in 4231. Plus Fer and Phillips. And playing further forward.

Looked like we had more options when passing as the players were passing and then showing better. Definitely pressed more and got more players into the opposition box.

I think Ramsey has told Philips that he does not need to beat his man and get to the byline every time but to put as many crosses into the box as possible.

And since then, Phillips crossing has been very good imo.

Positive attitude from the outset. A team will always look better and be more appreciated if they are providing the fans with a bit of excitement.

Always sat back before, which is asking for trouble as eventually, the sheer amount of pressure a defence is under will cause it to crack. Rarely did we ever play any decent football until we were behind, sometimes by 2 goals.

Last night, we attacked with a plan, went ahead and rather than do what HR would have done which is to sit back and hope not to concede, we carried on doing what was working. The opposition will never be as effective going forward if we ensure that they have something to think about themselves.

A whole different attitude from the players. Sent out there with a positive mindset and looking to win the game and not nick a point like they would have with Harry in charge.

Nasser seriously buddy save your energy on the big analysis your working on as the above comments have more or less covered what the differences were

May I suggest you take your lovely lady out for a meal followed up with a few drinks before accompanying her home for a little bit of slippage much more enjoyable then analysing the 4231 and you can dive back in for seconds

Facto will back me up on this suggestion I am sure better use of your valuable time
