    1. Bobby - held the ball up so well, allowed midfielders to break and relieve pressure. 2. Players not being afraid to go forward. 3. Having Fer inside meant he could support Bobby in attacks yet held defend when we didn't have the ball

My take is that the obvious things you notice on the pitch are managers orders. Like pressing, keeping possession, early crossing, shooting from distance, bodies into the box, man marking play-makers, players in right positions, quick breakaways etc. A positive game-plan where everyone knows what they're doing. But not all these traits show in game stats.

May I suggest you take your lovely lady out for a meal followed up with a few drinks before accompanying her home for a little bit of slippage much more enjoyable then analysing the 4231 and you can dive back in for seconds

Facto will back me up on this suggestion I am sure better use of your valuable time
I just deflated her and put her back in the box

Hoping to release the final produced video tomorrow or Friday but I want to gauge some opinions as to what was different. So far, I have the Yun vs Hill change, Fer in the middle, Phillips hugging the line very high up, Rio playing high quality passes and the change to a structured 4231. Have any of you got anything else I can add?
playing higher up the pitch meant getting players in and around Sunderland's area quickly enough to give Phillips and Isla options to aim for when crossing the ball.

Previous games they were too deep and too slow to get forward.

A positve attitude going forward very game under Harry we set up not to get beat and very defensive and a lack of ambition to go and win games. on tuesday we were quick to close down and press the opponents and get forward quickly wit support with Fer M.Phillips & Yun looked like the first time we had any pace in the team especially going forward

Played higher up the pitch and every player seemed to know what their job was and was expected of them

Its basic football management that our previous manager failed to grasp

Players playing in their "best" position not out of position - examples Fer, Onuoha, Hill
