I hope he gets a 6 months contract so I can win my bet @ 9-1.

He's done well. He's very unlucky not to have four points from the two games he's managed - and he's been really unlucky with injuries.
He's brought more youth players through in two games (Doughty) than Redknapp did in the two seasons he was here.
I say give him the job.

Who are the 16 (so far) naysayers? What's your opinion? Chris Ramsey is like a breath of fresh air after the stagnation of the last 3 years. I'd rather stick with him at least until the end of the season and see how we go from there. Had enough of these 'big' managers with their big egos and their hyper-inflated wage packets. Let's have someone who knows and cares about the club, the youth system and who the players clearly respect and want to play for. I don't see how bringing in an outsider right now is going to help the situation, in fact, I'd say it's more likely to unsettle it.

I wouldn't give him it... His won one game away from home. He seems like a nice bloke and the lads are playing with freedom and actually playing some good stuff with players in their actual positions but it is only his second game. Everyone on here is saying we should rush this appointment so what is the rush with Ramsay?.. Lets not go overboard.

I've said no on the basis that we can hopefully get Paul Clement in with him.

Agree Hubs, especially the last sentence.

WLIRs I agree with you too about Clement working alongside The Black Mourinho.

Does that ever happen? Has it ever happened? Where a new manager comes in and uses the coach in place and doesnt chose his own?

Kev, I'd say it's a slightly different situation with us as we have a DoF in Les. Therefore whoever comes in would be a head coach as opposed to a manager. In that regard, Clement would be a good fit.

I'm not convinced. Its 1 win! albeit a fantastic one. If he is still in charge and we get 3 points against Hull then Id give it to him.

Same as that. Over the moon about yesterday and really like the bloke, but one more back to normal toilet performance and it will be all back to normal on here. Win against hull though and tf better give him the job till season end, and if he performs a miracle then a proper contract.

Really? 55% possession and 16 shots the saints had, I wouldn't call that stopping them playing. Also we looked terrible going forward.

Last night was better and a huge improvement but lets be honest Sunderland were poor and we still needed our goalkeeper to be man of the match, it could quite easily have been different.

I liked the way we played last night mind and deserved the win overall, mainly due to the first half. It's nice to see passing, movement and pace with balls being put into the box.

Giving him the job based on two games is ridiculous though.

Whoa hold on. I have no problem with having him till the end of the season at all but arent we getting a bit carried away?
Last week Chris Ramsey according to some on here wasnt the way forward. Now we have an away win its Ramsey for manager? What if we get beaten by Hull? Will it be Ramsey out again? Personally wouldnt mind him to end of the season and, if he keeps us up, look at appointing him permanently.
