I bloody hope we don't appoint Adkins. I find it hard to believe that there are no better options,if Sherwood don't come. If thats the case then we must stick with Ramsey/Bond and wait til summer.

He is a good proven manager, who plays passing attacking football, nearly always gets his teams promoted, which we may need, with an OK prem record. A positive soul aswell.

Interesting views here. A proven manager with several years experience including several promotions is being turned down for one with 5 months in the job where he was handed it on a plate but hasn't worked since.

I'm not saying I want Adkins but its funny how people seem to have been wooed by the media reporting of Sherwood....

I just checked his career stats and over 500 games his winning percent was almost 50% which ain't bad,including Welsh league. Still, i think don't really want him

One recent-ish decision is swaying me to the "no thanks" side....

Royals boss Nigel Adkins was clearly anxious for the deal to be done when talking about their 2-2 draw at Wigan on Saturday.
'Anton's another player who has played in both the Premier League and the Championship,' he said.
'He's an experienced player who maybe has something to prove. He's been in the wilderness for the last couple of years.
