I know I'm picking at old sores, but if we want a decent goal scoring front man £4m is what we've got to spend.I know its unlikely given our present policy and Flaviogate hanging over our heads, but most of us thought that Michael Chopra was far too expensive at £4m,but his 12 goals in 13 games (4 last night) is starting to pay dividends. One quality striker like him added to our current squad and with our midfielders playing as they are, would be the icing on the top.

£4m - The going rate for a decent striker.

This is a very valid point, yet our board like to do it on the cheap.
£4m isn't neccesarilly the amount you need to spend though as Ebankes-Blake, Jamie Ward to name a couple went for far less than that. If we scout properly and get in quick, we don't need to spend so much. Gary Hooper could have been got with a bid of £1-1.5m if we'd got in there early instead of giving them 5 minutes to find a striker. Something that we couldn't manage in 2 years.
Strikers like Harewood on loan and even the likes of King who for all his faults is a superb striker at this level. Our problem is that the board (like a few of our fans) think that having 2 very able, yet non-prolific strikers is fine as long as we've got 2 more completely useless strikers as backup.
We need to move now, and not in the Jan window as one injury before then and we could be in trouble.Your mum would love me...

Great shout of course the board are more than happy to spin us the line that they spent 3.5 million on a midfielder no one has heard of from Argentina.
I think in the CCC you need proven top end players at this level or bottom end Premier League players.
One that springs to mind is Dave Kitson at Stoke who cant get a game at the moment.

we should get players from Uruguay, the thing is we can't because of the EU nonsense.
Therein lies the problem. There are strikers everywhere, but this european thing is detrimental and unfair. I mean there are strikers in the US and asia who would kill to live in london and play for us. This stupid rule should be changed. Look at Ghana, look at that talent.

With a top striker we wouldnt have dropped as many points as we did earlier in the season, and where would we be now....top 4 for sure.
We are a better team than Cardiff for example, but them having that quality up front levels the playing field over a period of time.
Get us that missing link and the bar raises.

we've known this for over a season and a half, so.....................no change ther then
we are poitaintely 2 players short of a "cracking team"
a out & out goalscorer & a left back (as for qblockpete thinking Borrowdale is the answer) well that doesn't surprise me, but he won't admit it because his "God" signed him
any average QPR fan knows the guy isn't what is needed as a 1st teamer a good back up maybe, but hey, what do the majority know!
Clunge, don't let "FACTS" get in the way when you talk about "Results"
you the man, when it comes to predictions, but, I'm 100% sure you wont get the praise you deserve, looks like you hit a nerve. ;D ;D
not from him anyway
