Or the time me and the same mate went away to Swindon, mid week, and my mate got ripped off because he bought a "double cheese burger"...paid nearly twice as much for it....only to find out it was a "double cheese" burger.........then we lost to Swindon in their first ever Premier League win..........and felt totally humiliated as they played the theme to 2001 over the tannoy at the end to celebrate their momentous victory....then the car broke down on the way home.

Oh yeah.....We've all got some good stories I'm sure
Exactly like that. Are you going to the game today? If so can we meet you and record you telling us your stories? Or call you at some point in the week?

My trip to Athens to see us lose 3-0 and go out on penalties was a great but scary trip!
300 R's fans were there and they strung us out in one row at one side of the ground. Each home fan was given a noisy vuvuzela type of instrument and the public address led the chanting throughout.
The atmosphere was hostile and we warned by some AEK fans that if we won the penalty shoot out then we would have our throats cut!!!!

They went mad at the end celebrating as we sat on the coaches waiting to go back to our hotel and even got on the buses to taunt us. This led to some unpleasant scenes with Rangers fans getting a bit of a beating and even fighting among themselves.

despite this it wa a great trip for me as I was "spotted" by Keith Friend, who used to run the club shop as well as QPR Supporters FC and I ended up playing for them for about 7 years during which time we toured Holland and/or Germany 5 times following the team as well as playing friendlies along the way. We even played on the pitch before the first team at Go ahead eagles in Deventer and played in a stadium against a German semi pro team (with several thousand fans in as they thought we were the QPR first team!) we only lost that game 3-2 and I scored the best goal of my life..........

That's a great story! Would you be willing to meet myself and my friend when we come to London at the end of the month to record you telling us the story or speaking over the phone at some point?

At the final game of the season, I think it was the one against Leeds in 1974, where they had won the league, my mate Ken and I brought a deflated football and a bicycle pump with us to the match. We hung around afterwards and when everybody had left we pumped up the ball and had a kick about in the goal at the Loft end. Dave Clement came out of the tunnel in his suit as he had missed the match through injury, and chatted with us for a bit. When he left we went back to our kick about and then somebody came out and yelled at us, telling us we'd better get going and that we'd almost got locked in! Ken took a couple of pictures but I'm sorry to say I don't have one.

i remember 21 years ago this lad phil from hounslow nicked a sausage in the service station cafe , the staff came over and said if he paid for it he wouldn't get nicked. he had no money and begged us to pay for him. we all refused and he was led away by the police. as he got to the door one of the lads shouted that he would lend him the money . the police let him go and the distraught phil came to hillsborough with us ..... he's still known as the 'hounslow sausage'

My pals bunked in one saturday morning early through the gardens in ellerslie rd(1980's). They climbed into the upper loft and hid in the toilets for four hours....the game was called off.

i used to climb in thru the gdns in the late 70's , was easy as we still had terracing they would open the gate at HT from the loft to the ellersie seats as they used to sell old programmes from a little kiosk by the gate

Heres one from '91-92. Drove up from Kent early one Saturday and parked in South Africa road... along side a fair few other cars, so thought nothing of it. After the game (West Ham I believe) walking back up SA Road to find that all the cars that were parked there had been taken to the compound, a good couple of miles away it felt. Piggin expensive day that was!

In the 1970s and early 1980s we would always bunk into the Ellerslie for the second half from the Loft by 'visiting' that programme kiosk and never going back into the Loft. There was also a gap in which you could get into the Ellerslie for free form the Ellerslie entrance at the School End.

Met Gary Bannister & Gary Waddock the Thursday before a home game with Coventry, Rangers were flying high at the time. Bannister invites me to the game and to look after his pregnant missus, he said he'd pick me up, take me to the game, meet all the players and then go on the lash after, Muggins declines and stands in the paddock with mates to watch Rangers lose and Budgie Byrne score an O.G.

Last year I booked a Holiday to Egypt on the strength the play off final would be played on the Bank holiday Monday like previous years, well they moved it to the Saturday as we all know. I left my Wife there and flew home on the Friday!! Still married.
