It's amazing how people cherry pick which newspaper article to believe depending on how it suits their view!

As far as I am concerned this is paper talk and could also just be part of negotiating. He asks what he wants, QPR offer what they want and it goes from there.
IMO, he is not a £2M a year manager. I would offer him £1M a year plus a bonus if QPR stay up. They could also offer him a 2 and a half year contract, with a release clause (if the club is relegated).
Anyway, this is what I was getting at in the down to three thread yesterday (if he wants the job, it will go to Sherwood).
McLaren is not interested and neither it seems Clement, so I would suggest that QPR look around and see if they can get someone like Bilic to talk about the job rather than just interview and offer it to Sherwood (he isn't that good).
Hopefully Fernandes will not let Ferdinand or anyone else take him for a fool again so easily.

My own opinion is he's the wrong man for Rangers.
However, based on the views of some fans, he did a fantastic job at Spurs, he's young and hungry, he rollocks players when required, he brings youth through, and he's mates with Les and Ramsey.
Why wouldn't the pro-Sherwood boys give him £2m pa? Isn't he worth the money, being a young, hungry, talented manager?Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

One year contract and a bonus, take it or leave it then move on if rejected.
