Can't all have your knowledge of football then. ;D
I'm not a big fan of Delaney, but I still see Borrowdale as a weakness in our side... and Delaney was definitely a more solid and aggressive defender. Stopping crosses, closing down, positionally, and in the air too.
Borrowdale is more tidy in possesion, his short passing is better, and he has improved a bit over the past couple of weeks... along with the team, but lacks the pace, positional sense and aggression to call him a good defender.
I wouldn't exactly sing the praises of either of them, but I always felt safer defensively with Delaney.
Ipswich are having a shocker right now, but I don't think Gary Borrowdale would improve them if we swapped back!

So...because someone has a difference of opinnion, it means they know less than you about football?
This coming from the man who openly said our strikers should be given a chance when we all knew that they weren't going to cut it for us?Your mum would love me...

I think we miss Delaney massively especially aerially. The other two we've coped with the loss and replaced with better players, albeit only on loan.
Borrowdale simply isn't good enough and a MAHUSIVE weak link in the side that better teams than Barnsley will exploit.
Fancy Adam Johnson or Chris Brunt 1 on 1 with Borrowdale?
To say Borrowdale is better than Delaney is just plain wrong. And slightly mental

And besides, I'm king of the Championship predictors, makes me a damn site more knowledgeable than a man who is 0 for 10 on his predictions!QBP 20th August 2009..."To be fair, I'm glad we are top of the table (for agents fees). Shows we are not a selling club anymore."

Ok let me see,
Camp - He is a good keeper, I probably would had kept him as Cerny is not getting any younger, unless we sign heaton permanently we will need to invest in another keeper next summer.
Delaney - Definately not missed IMO, he wasn't really up for it, but Borrowdale is a good squad player if nothing special. A decent left back is still needed but can wait for now as Borrowdale is doing ok.
Blackstock - A good young striker with potential, I still think we should had kept him as he definately has the ability to be a top striker in this league. Again, same deal as Camp, we will need to buy someone soon as Simpson will not be with us forever.
So is the squad stronger? I would conclude about the same, no better, no worse....
