Their departure has not made us stronger, but if what you are asking is are we better off with Watson, Simpson, Tarabt and Heaton in their place then I would say yes.

Only player we really miss is Dex, not because he was brilliant but because with him and Simpson up front you would think either cd score, now with simpson and vine up front its up to Simpson to score on his own.

Still painfully weak up front outside the first two.
      Still no proper full backs.

So, basically, although we have now got 4 excellent first XI midfielders and 2,301 midfielders on the bench and in the reserves, our squad is no stronger although the first team is.

BUT, Pete, FFS, don't get carried away; a month ago we weren't the worst team in the world and right now, we aren't the best.

46 games will tell - remember?

Davman, certainly not getting carried away !!

if anything happens to Vine an Simpson we are light in the departmant, but pretty happy with everything else to be honest.

Don't think we miss Camp or Delaney to be honest

Certainly don't miss Camp, Delaneys departure has weakned the squad in that now we only have 1 LB whereas before we had 2!
Blackstock has been missed, he scored 15 last season and only played half the games for us! Simpson may replace it remains to be seen but either way he's not our player he's a loan!

Overall though the squad is better!

                Rather Delaney than Borrowdale.

And I know what Ipswich fans think of DD, and I'm not his biggest fan either... but he's a better defender. IMO.

Blackstock would be a better option than Pellicori or Agyemang.
Heaton looks decent, and at least accepts that he's knocking on the door of Cerny's position, rather than looking to get out because he's not playing.

Don't blame Camp for that, but it's better for the squad now.

Maybe not a stronger squad in terms of individuals, but there seems more unity now.
                Credit to JM for that.

IMO short term possibly. Long term no - both Heaton and Simpson are loan signings who IMO would be difficult to sign at the end of their loans. I still think we are light in the back four as well as up front. What happens if Gorkss and Damage are injured or suspended at the same time? I still think the squad is unbalanced (even in spite of the good results of late). Still I guess we'll find out at the end of the season.

if helguson was on bench id be happier than what i am now seeing agyemang or pellicori.

heaton is better than camp. camp is/was a wonderful shot stopped and thats it.

blackstock is very lazy but manages to get the chances and importantly the goals.

delaney for me is a better defender than borrowdale.. borrowdale is better at going forward.

                    Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

At least Balanta will be back soon to stiffen competition up front.

we still need a proven scorer...chopra stands out at cardiff.
the team has improved over the last 3 games, seem fitter and are passing the ball so much better....heaton looks good

                          Amen to that.

When JM gave Gorkks and Buzz a slating and then dropped them, many thought 'uh oh, there's a problem there', but it has proven to be exactly what was needed. They've started playing, as has StewPeas, who was either suffering from his pre-season travelling when the season started or sulking at being dropped for Fitz.

I'm not saying its sorted itself over night, but maybe, just maybe the squad are starting to play for each other AND the Gaffer?

...Or is it simply because we've won a couple now and the squad is just happier? Maybe, when we get a downturn, bad things will come to the fore again???

Think Delaney is still better than Borrowdale - then again so am I.

Camp, Delaney and Blackstock were ours.

Heaton, Watson, Simpson are other club's players.

Heaton is still a young lad, Camp is an England U-21 keeper and is proven at this level. Delaney, well he'd be better than Borrowdale if he had one leg. And Blackstock remains one of the craziest pieces of business we have ever done. Add to that, it sounds like Camp and Blackstock went due to "lack of respect" to one of our "respectable" Directors, its all still a shambles.

Calm yourself Peter. We've done well in the last 2 league games. No denying that. But we've got 2 tough away games then an international break.
