Why on earth would you appoint TS backroom staff and appoint somebody else? Why would S Mc come and work under LF? Same applies to PC. Your at RM working under Ancelotti why leave and work under an inexperienced DoF at a club in a mess.
Its Sherwood we all know it is so just appoint him ffs and stop pishballing around.
Good points.
it is likely to be Sherwood as long as he wants the job.
This is just like new manager fans vote held at Luton nearly 8 or 9 years ago. Some chancer called Gurney organised a fans vote for their next Manager, there were about 6 candidates, including the previously sacked 'Big Fat Joe Kinnear' (like Roy only funnier !), Steve Cottrell, Mick Harford, Mike Newell and a couple of other no marks. Kinnear won, but didn't want the job, Cottrell (3rd) & Harford (2nd) distanced themselves from it, so Newell (5th or 6th in the vote, I seem to recall) was offered and accepted the job, based purely on the fact he was the only candidate physically at the Club that day !
TF & Amit suggest we'll interview those 3, but I'd actually be surprised if McLaren or Clement agree to be interviewed. I'd expect both to politely decline in the next 24 hours or so. Leaving Sherwood as the only real candidate.

We'll see soon enough.
I think Clement would be interested in being interviewed, but whether he is offered the job and accepts it is another issue.

He'll take any job... haven't you noticed his names been in the frame for every management job that's been available since he left Spurs. He even applied for a Managers position at a local McDonalds and failed to get that.
I voted for McClaren, primarily because I know much more about him than the other two and think he is an excellent manager. But he also appears to be a stand-up guy, which means he won't bail on Derby - and if he did that would lower my opinion of him.
I don't know too much about the other two but from what little I do know, both look like promising candidates. Young and hungry, not some big name coming in to siphon money out of Tony's pocket. Definitely looks like an improvement in our hiring policy, whomever we end up with.
'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.
McLaren not coming back will probably get promoted with Derby so wont come back to a likely relgated QPR? dont want I'm Mr Wonderful Sherwood would rather Paul Clement,
I chose McLaren we should have got him the minute the final Whistle went at Wembley.
Not sure why everyone is raving a clement..i am pretty sure it is a tough job coaching the likes of Bale Ronaldo etc etc....it doesn't make him a coaching genius..in fact its like asking someone who can ride a race horse to suddenly jump on a donkey and produce the same results!

It will be offered to Sherwood, and his decision could be dependent on what terms and salary is offered.
The club said it will conduct at least 3 interviews, but this choice of 3 is not really what is seems.
McLaren is going nowhere. Clement might, but I doubt it, so unless the club have other candidates who else will take over. Perhaps they have been looking abroad to sound out another Laudrup, Koeman or Pochettino type of manager/coach but again, I don't think so.
Bringing in Ferdinand, then Ramsey seems like paving the way for Sherwood.
I am not anti Sherwood, as I think he did reasonably well at Spurs. Hopefully he will do so at QPR too. At least he gives the young players a chance (not that QPR's youngsters are anywhere near the same level as the likes of Kane, Bentaleb Mason etc).
For me, they should have put Hoddle in temporary charge and see what he does against Southampton and Sunderland.
