    Depends whats important to him, what drives him at this point in his life..... work and wanting to better/challenge himself or simply life style. He's getting a decent wage and probably living a very nice life in Spain.

      Bit of a joke this shortlist. TF rings Steve after derby have given permission to speak to him, "Steve, Steve I've got a job for you if your interested" Steve replies "Thanks for the offer but am staying put", TF then rings Paul "Paul I would like to interview you for a job what do you say" "No I think that I am more than happy to be coaching a team that is the biggest in the world and has much better weather" TF then rings Tim "Tim I have a three and a half year contract on the table for you, cos that's what your best mate told me you wanted" and bingo we have our new manager/head coach.
      My old man was the star player for HMP Parkhurst during their successful and unbeaten 77/78 season.

        The way I see it........

        If you were a established manager I can't see what would interest you at our club at the moment. We have a weak, unbalanced squad with no back up at the moment from the academy players. The transfer window is closed and he won't be able to move anyone in or out,. We are one of if not the favourites for relegation with potentially a big punishment from the fa if we go down. Which could also include a transfer ban.

        No1 choice for me having decided the candidates with the criteria of what the board want would have to be mclaren.... He already knows the majority of the players, the club. He has experience at the very top level in various of places and he has also shown that he can develop and improve youngsters.

        For me clement and sherwood pose a massive risk. I mean apart from being a assistant Paul clement has no experience at all. You lot who really want him must be almost be taking a stab in the dark with him as I don't see how you guys know anything about his coaching and managing ability.

        Sherwood also has very limited experience however we know a little about him through his time managing Tottenham. He seemed to be very outspoken which is not always good but one thing I do like about him is he seems to be highly motivated and demands a lot from his players. For me it's just whether he could gain the respect of our players.

        I would worry with sherwood or clement that if we do get relegated whether they could cope with the demands of the championship

            Just looked on Oddschecker and seen Kevin 'Bondy' Bond is 2nd fav for the job 5/1 at Corals.

            WTF? May as well set fire to myself now.

              @tonyfernandes

              "We the board will hire someone who cares, thinks long term, wants to be involved in developing the academy, has coaching skills, will play young players and is a winner."
