As is Hughes compared to Redknapp.

The frustrating thing is, if Tony just bit the bullet and booted Harry we have Hoddle on the payroll who would have them playing much better and I'm sure a really exciting style with pace and creativity. Yes we'd have to pay off HR, but we're paying him now to potentially take us down with a whimper.

You can just imaging Hoddle suggesting ideas to HR, who probably says mo I want to keep I tight.... FFS get rid of the ###### now!!!!

A lot of toys been thrown out of the pram because for once we did the right thing and said to the manager no more signings

We have a good enough squad to stay up just need the manager to stop moaning and earn his 3 million a year

Hoddle would probably play something like the side below.

Charlie would get plenty of support and service with this line up.

The two FBs supply added width when in possession...with Henry and Sandro protecting the back four.

There's goals in the team too.

        ------------------Green--------------------

        Isla-----Onuoha----Caulker/Dunne----Yun

        -----------Henry------Sandro--------------

        -----Vargas------Fer-------Taarabt-------

        ------------------Austin--------------------

        ==========================

Unfortunately though we have a totally inept manager in charge and a chairman blind to this fact.

Wish H would play the team above as it looks like a winner to me.

Exactly w12!!..... said it at the beginning of the season- when you look at the players we have, the individuals we have, we should be sitting near mid table at the end of the season. Now obviously thats not going to happen now, but we still have those players. We more than have the quality to stay up....

I can already guess Saturday's fvcking team!

Fer left wing, Vargas right wing.

Barton and Sandro holding... Zamora and Austin up together.

Tactics - Hit Zamora when you can and get around him.

Plan B after 60 minutes when Zamora is fvcked? - Just run wherever you want and try and make something happen.

So you want HR to play an unfit Yun and an Unfit Sandro and a spoilt brat that doesn't want to be here and you say GH would want that

I agree with the OP 100%, personally in a way im glad H wasnt given even more money to waste, this squad is more than capable of staying up but the problem is that the manager either refuses to pick players or when he does he plays them out of position. A few posts above saying things would be better if Hoddle was in charge and picking the side but my question would be what input does he give atm. Is Harry not listening to anyone within the backroom staff?

Advocating a return to the briefly used 3 centre backs? Personally, I would have stuck with it at the start of the season and (although in the minority) would have continued with Ferdinand in that set up.
However, can I just refresh memories of the greatest majority here that HR was a clown for going with any system operating 3 CB's?
Also, have to deeply disagree with any plan that involves AT as part of the package.
One other thing that hasn't been mentioned since the first weeks of the season - try Hoilett in behind Charlie rather than on the wing......he played it pre-season and looked slightly better than average and certainly better than when used wide?

I think hoilletts best position is just behind the centre forward but so is Fers and probably Vargas too and i would play those two in that position before hoilett.
