Dave, are you saying Hughes is on record stating there was interference from the board over the selection of players to buy? I haven't seen that. If it's true then it's totally wrong. That is the domain of the manager not the board.

Where did you read that Dave? First I've heard of it.

I've read it on the stoke forum that Hughes says he signed one player....Just to add i don't think it was quite that low, but I believe he has distanced himself from quite a few signings claiming they weren't his choice
