For me one of the biggest problems is that we are signing the wrong types of players, and have done throughout Fernandes' era. Too many big earners on at the wrong ends of the careers and too many players signed on reputation without sufficient scouting. I also think that you need to question our youth set-up, it's been years seen anyone has come through the ranks to play more than a handful of games.

For me Harry relys on spending money to get results, whereas a smarter manager would be more inclined to develop the players that he has through effective coaching and guidance. A club like us with limited resources needs a manager that is capable of improving players, bar Charlie Austin I don't think we've improved a single player under Hughes or Redknapp.

I know none of this offers a quick fix to our current predicament but in the long run we need to bring in a manager capable of implementing some best practices that will see the club get back to what it used to well.

Now your talking about 2 different thing, yes totally agree with all above especially older players on big money & youth set up and unfortunately without spending the money we would of never got to the prem in the first place and certainly wouldn't of stayed up the first year. To do what your saying needs us to have a few years in the championship to take stock and build from the bottom but are the many fans that scream for players blood every week coz we may go down going to except that, also all the above doesn't help us now, what do we want more, throw cash to try and keep us up or have years in the champ and build. On the note of incoming players we have probably got the players who wanted to play for us as many don't and their are a good few players that people were well pleased that we signed only to boo them a few months down the line !!!

I agree that the club can't do right for doing wrong regarding Ferdinand. In my mind, it's a good appointment. The man has experience of how to organise a youth academy, and a clear affection for the football club. This can only be good for a club that a) has no discernible youth policy whatsoever and b) a complete derth of offficials who give a toss about the club on a supporter's level.

Not really talking about 2 different things mate, my point is the club is run badly and has been for a very long time.

Don't disagree that it will take time but the right manager would want these things in place and as such would do it whilst running the first team. I just feel like we have been constantly fighting fires for the whole of Fernandes reign, it isn't sustainable and needs addressing!

Exactly what experience has Les? Very little from what I can see.....

I met him C-Club the other week and he clearly is having a positive effect on the club. Respected by all and was clearly very involved in everything that was going on. Met Kevin Bond as well, can't say the same about him. Bloke came across like an absolute numbskull!

Good God. Shall we just bring in Sven-Goran Eriksson on £5m a year instead? Experience isn't everything.

To say that it doesn't matter where certain players play is simply ridiculous.
Didn't say certain players I said Traore, it doesn't matter if he plays left back/ midfield it depends on his frame of mind if he try's or not

I take the point, but we can't bet the farm entirely on Les can we???? He is Sir Les, not SuperLes.... And he's never managed or administered a football team or club.

He's a football man isn't he, exactly what some people wanted at a senior level. We've also got one of the most experienced managers in the business at the helm.

People are constantly moaning about the board's lack of football knowledge, so they've hired people to do the job. If you own a house which needs rewiring, you do it yourself if you can, or ring a spark to do it. Well, the board rang a couple of sparks, and the lights are still out!
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

So all that have got involved in this post let's be honest, who was saying great choice when TF took over ? I guess nearly all, who said great choice when Mark Hughes took charge ? Nearly all, who said great choice when Harry was put in charge ? Maybe a few less but still a high percentage rate and I'm sure if we all look back at this post in 5 & 10 years time we will be having the same conversation whoever is in charge as I can remember having conversations like this on and off for the past 30 odd years

Probably for the best that you don't own the football club.
