The point is one creates another. That is too say, a delusional chairman and a inept manager who generally bring the wrong players to the club, and play them in the wrong formation with the wrong tactics will almost always result in poor performances, and seasons of struggle. This has been the theme of Fernandes' ownership. Its all well and good saying that the players aren't pulling their weight, but playing Fer and Vargas out on the wing or playing Onuoha and Traore at full back (for example) makes their job that much more difficult.

I don't think TF's reluctance to sack Harry has anything to do with kindness, more likely is the massive payoff he & his 10+ coaches will be entitled to…

And what has Les done to be qualified to oversee the club's development? If we're relying on him then I've got no confidence in the club's future tbh. He is part of that Spurs lot that have been running the show since Hughes left.

You're looking at it short term Webbie. To understand what's wrong with the club you have to look at a far bigger picture. Everything from scouting to coaching, to youth set-up and far beyond that, even down to what Harry says to the players after a disappointing result.

For me one of the biggest problems is that we are signing the wrong types of players, and have done throughout Fernandes' era. Too many big earners on at the wrong ends of the careers and too many players signed on reputation without sufficient scouting. I also think that you need to question our youth set-up, it's been years seen anyone has come through the ranks to play more than a handful of games.

For me Harry relys on spending money to get results, whereas a smarter manager would be more inclined to develop the players that he has through effective coaching and guidance. A club like us with limited resources needs a manager that is capable of improving players, bar Charlie Austin I don't think we've improved a single player under Hughes or Redknapp.

I know none of this offers a quick fix to our current predicament but in the long run we need to bring in a manager capable of implementing some best practices that will see the club get back to what it used to well.

He was happy to offer him (and presumably his coaching staff) a 2 year contract extension with us in the bottom 3. If the man's worried about what he may or may not owe Redknapp financially, he's got a funny way of showing it.

QPRWEBBIE, you're right. These players get paid so much more than they should, I don't think they care that much.

The board should have kept incentives for the players to work harder by giving them a normal wage but a nice win bonus, or other bonuses, make them work for that bonus. At the moment they know they're going to get paid regadless.

I still think we have some pretty good players, they are not giving us 100% which is the big problem. This could be another reason why no manager has made a difference?

I think our problem could be the contracts we give out.

So who else should of played right back instead of Onuoha when Isla's injured, it doesn't matter where you play Traore it all depends what frame of mind his in. With regards to Fer and Vargas if you bring then into the middle who do you bring in and drop from the team ?

The problem is you can't offer players like Caulker or Fer performance related pay, they simply wouldn't have come here. That type of contract only works for players with something to prove, perhaps at the end of their career or coming back from a serious injury, Keiron Dyer and Richard Dunne have been 2 classic examples for us.

I wouldn't have sold Danny Simpson to Leicester for not a lot at the start of the season. The fact we have gone into this season with no cover for either fullback and only 2 proper strikers is further proof that things are not being done right behind the scenes!

That is exactly my point - the squad is uneven. Our erractic spending and lack of vision under Fernandes has created successive squads that has too much cover in some areas, and nowhere near enough in others. To say that it doesn't matter where certain players play is simply ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure Redknapp, Hoddle, Bond and Jordan are all out of contract in June. Chris Ramsey and Les Ferdinand are the only 2 big earners on the coaching/management team that have longer contracts I think.

People were moaning none of the board were football men and wanted a football man to help run things. A club legend gets the job and still there's whingeing. The board has hired "expertise" in the form of Les Ferdinand and Harry Redknapp and his merry men, and hands over money for squad building.

And STILL we're struggling. Why? How is this resolved?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

We could've offered them the same contract they were on or slightly better, we were going OTT with it.
