Now this is just my opinion....

But Phillips to me should be nowhere near our first team. The games he has played for us in the Prem this season he has looked woeful. As somebody said he looked bang average for us in the Championship so not sure where this love for him comes from. From the games this season he looks clumsy, has a terrible first touch and seems to run into people rather than beat them. Plus he has missed a few guilt edge chances which you need to score at this level.

People will say its coming back from injury/confidence etc but to me it just looks like a lack of ability and he isn't that good. The lad has a great cross on him i will give him that. Other than that though not sure what he offers and giving him a run of games is madness to me as not sure he can cut it at this level and now is not the time to experiment.

Hoilet has also been bad. But i know somewhere he has the ability. I still when he gets the ball at his feet and starts running at defenders get the feeling he can create something or make something happen. Usually he doesn't and i curse wildly but i have faith.

Just me opinion but i would rather keep Hoilett over Phillips.....getting my head down.

He looked bang average for us in the Champ? He hardly played for us in the Champ mate?.. He arrived injured, eventually picked up speed, started to play well, scored a worldie and then did his ankle and was out injured again for months... The love comes from him not having a proper chance or a clear run of games. His lost all confidence.. Too judge him overall on a few games he played for us in the Champ where he played well is harsh.

The lad doesn't lack ability IMO.. When he runs at players he gets fans off their seats. The worldie he scored at home last season was pure class. I think a lot want him to do well because he does put the effort in when he plays.. I know personally when he has come on this season and gets the ball, im willing him to knock it past the full back and take him on. I want him to do well.

I think both need more time, coaching and confidence.. being wingers, 90% of their game is about confidence. if you aint got confidence as a winger you may as well not be on the pitch because its de-moralising not being able to beat a full back from a lack of confidence.
