      To not get a single win until 17 matches into a season was shocking as well, still changed.

              Actually it is, but I will spell it out for you so you don't have to do the difficult thing of understanding my point. Of course it shocks and disappoints me, but the same could be said about the previous record. Guess what happened, that changed.

                    At the start of the season would it of been a ludicrous thought to think that by now we WOULD NOT have a single away point? Creating a premier league record -

                          I agree but it can happen, who is to say that we wont go on and win lots more away than home?

                          That's the beauty of this sport, Newcastle were right at the bottom and then went on a winning run.
