    Of course not.
We will have plenty of time for inquests after the event if we do go down, but we have a chance to influence what will happen now.

The person who thinks we will get another 20-26 points clearly hasn't watched us this season especially away from home
Cheers for that mate, actually been to 4 matches as I have said on a few threads, I still think we can achieve that.

Fair point. On the flip side, Sean Dyche is running his Burnley side into the ground in the business end of the season, with an horrendous run coming up (games against Man United, Chelsea, Swansea, Liverpool, Man City, Southampton, Spurs, Arsenal and Everton one after another!), Steve Bruce has completely lost his way at Hull (9 points from their last 15 games tells it's own story) and Leicester are throwing money at it like we have in the past....rarely a recipe for a cohseive unit ready to fight together. We are still bang in this.

I admire your optimism but what is it based on ?

Away from home we have been awful with no game plan and just don't look like we know how to win or even get a point as for at home it seems we have been found out with the hoof up to Zamora tactic

I just think all 3 teams have a far better manager than us so they will get points at places unexpected

Leicester seem to have identified what is wrong and have spent money to rectify it us on the other hand just buy anyone who is available for the sake of it re : Zarate

Bunrley are well drilled with every player knowing their job they also go for it at every ground so again will pick up points

Hull will come good in the 2nd half of the season IMO as Bruce is a decent manager

Except a few away games(Spurs, ManU, and possibly Hammers) we haven´t exactly been played off the park. Think there should be room for optimism based on that alone. If we were 10 points off safety by now then fair enough, but it is only a couple of points we are adrift. Based on the views on this board you would think we were already relegated...

The reason I have optimism away from home is because I have faith in the players at the club, we are a team that has the capability to perform well and this two week gap will allow the players to work on certain skills required to win away from home. Our next away match is against Stoke, who have a pretty average home record and potentially are missing two of their key attacking outlets in Mame Diouf and Bojan Krkic. They have already lost to Burnley, Leicester and Villa at home. They will probably have to play Crouch and Walters who I feel our team can deal with, especially with Dunne in the side. The only real concern in their side is Victor Moses and the improvement of Isla should help him perform better.
Any point in this match will give a huge boost for the future away from home.

I love peoples optimism on this thread but have you guys actually seen us play this season apart from the spirited Villa, Liverpool and Burnley games at home?? We literally cannot get much worse away from home and I cant see where a point will come from personally. You then have to look at 3 worse teams than us... I cant pick one team that is worse than us. There's a couple who may be around the same standard but those teams have won away from home already this season so have that one up on us.

You look for a spark when your down there, some style of play or flair that will get you the win...

We have an inept manager who plays players out of position and only has one tactic which is hoofball to a 35 year old Zamora.

Have a look at the games Hull, Burnley and Leicester still have to play....they've all got bl**y awful run-ins, certainly more difficult than ours on paper. 35 points should be enough this year. I can definately see 4 wins and as many draws in there.
Exactly why I think we stand a very good chance of staying up..... a few of the teams have a horrid run of games. With still only 3 points in it between us and 13th that really does show how tight it is. IF we can just keep up with the teams around us and pick the needed 3 points at the very 'winnable' games to pull us away from the pack we 'might' just be all right.

I think we will get 48 points from the remaining figures.
Reason is that our players have used the 14 days off to work on skills needed to win every game.
It was about time the manager and coaches figured out these skills needed to be worked on.
