The new stadium and training ground are positive long term plans.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

      Who's to say that I won't, eh?
But today I can't even fly to London.

Really? You dig me out for being "negative", yet the only "positive" aspects of the club that you can present are two ideas that exist only on paper and in TF's mind.

Admins can access WATRB from anywhere and everywhere.

I doubt you even need the paper, just the power of imagination and the belief that paper is there

                  Are you for real?

This is not Football Manager, it's the real world, things like this can take time. It would still take at least 5 or more years before we move in, but we do need a new stadium to catch up with everyone else.

Times have changed and modern communications make it far easier for people to directly engage with each other. Why shouldn't he engage as he sees fit? Find it astonishing he is criticized for this.

Exactly I would say five years minimum and that would be pushing it. It is a huge project but one that is necessary for long term future of the club.

Yes you can. It just seem unconvincing. First of all Tony has been very communicative from the off and has been using various media platforms to engage with different stakeholders regarding QPR. Since December 28th he has been heavily involved in sorting out the AirAsia catastrophe, and understandably so IMO. Some fans have been crying out for some involvement with QPR more or less since the transfer market opened, not many days after news of the tragic accident broke.

Now, apparently, Tony has had some time to engage in the situation at QPR, and uses the opportunity to comment on the future of QPR. For the short term he issues a statement on behalf of the board regarding the manager (even though the outcome was not popular with all fans). Then he reassures the fans of his long term commitment to the club by talking about the future plans for improvement of the facilities at QPR. Think it is only reasonable for him to do so, especially in the light of the media and twitter hysteri in the early weeks of January (not to mention the messageboards, but i really hope he doesn´t read them).

                        But each to their own...

"kissing his ar*se" isn't an insult, it's a figure of speech. Being called a bell*nd, knob, and told to f*ck off is.

You're missing the point. Two non-existent ideas are not reasons to be positive about the current ownerhsip, until they are delievered. Obviously I understand the time constraints involved in both - you just can't use them at this stage as a means of applauding the owner.

They haven't changed though. The best owners in football today still stick to the principles I described before. When was the last time Huw Jenkins or Peter Coates "tweeted" their teams fans?

And to be perfectly honest I cannot see how this can be held against him or be a bad thing for QPR? Why shouldn´t he want to reassure stakeholders when things are not running as they should. Seems only natural IMO.

Actually it could be quite interesting to see if you are right. Could you e.g. make a timeline with league position and PR exercises plotted in?
