What is Austin really worth in today's market?

I feel like 12m is very low when players in the Championship get sold for about 11m?

What is the point in selling Austin and bringing in Townsend, when we don't have anyone to finish off?

For me this would be a 'No deal'.

Levy is a horrible horrible man, but he is a shi te hot chairman and knows the ins and outs of the game (unlike oir chairman sadly) always wins, and always robs us blind. Any other club and i would scoff at it, nut not when it comes to levy and stitching us up.

Who did you hear it from, not doubting this but look how many rumours are in the paper everyday and how many actually come to fruition.

Any club in the top half of the table would be foolish taking Austin at the moment in my opinion.

Can you say where you heard the rumour mate?....... lovely sum of money but IMO this'll never happen no matter who the loans are, Austin is the only reason we stand a chance of staying up.

Cant think of a better player off the bench for any club top half.

Will never happen on those terms. Why take £12m now and go down when we can say stick your £12m, use Charlie (who let's face it is key to staying up) to score the goals and keep us up and remain on the prem gravy train that nets us circa £70m / year.

If we did go down anyway, and he wanted to leave, sell him then as a possible 20 goal prem striker and start the bidding at £15m

I'm pretty sure the club see it this way as well, depends on Harry's input.

Should not even be considered. It is a suicide just to contemplate selling Austin. Next rumour.

12m for a sub even in this day and age is a lot, I just couldn't seem his starting regularly for a top 10 team. Remy I think would be a better bet.
