Thinking at a job isn't the right one for you and rejecting it is quite different from applying for a job and getting turned down.
Beginners luck, you can't go by that after 6 months.

Some players have a one season wonder, 6 months is nothing!

Beginners luck? Really? Exactly how does luck come into it?

The bloke won 14 games in half a season in his first managerial job. Whether you think he's the right man for us or not, that is impressive.

Im not against Sherwood personally but were not against spending big money on players well why not identify the manager we want long term for the club even if he has a club already and make an offer to get him in for me long term someone like Dyhce would be perfect for us

Think many are being disrespectful to Sherwoods record based simply on the fact they don't like him as an individual but then they throw names like Clement who has never managed a club in his life into the mix!!!! What record does he have

Exactly right. Some on here are letting their opinion of Sherwood the person cloud their opinion of Sherwood the manager.

I don't think it's being disrespectful at all, I don't know him not to like him. Put him in a lower division side and see how he does?

Dyhce on the other hand has proved he is a good manager already... I wouldn't say "No", he'd be in my top 3.

You don't have to. People are basing their opinions on what the papers tell them. Why does Sherwood need to manage a lower division club to prove himself?

Not true. If you actually look at the detailed stats, the team largely performed as they did under AVB. In fact, they created far less opportunities and conceded more shots, so yes, luck had a massive role to play.

Are people forgetting the 5-1 defeat at home to City or the 4-0 defeats at Chelsea and Liverpool? I dread to think the results he'd have here with a squad of far less ability!

Sherwood's PL win percentage record was nearly 60% - a good 10% better than AVB - common sense suggests that a team cant perform at largely the same level yet still have such a relatively sizable upturn in results. To say luck had a "massive role" to play is a gross exaggeration as well.

Wouldn't want either really but I feel Sherwood would provide more of the much needed kick up the ###!
"Imagine a relationship that went wrong but you held on in there for years: that's what it is like supporting a football team. Your loyalty to a team can never die. Ties are stronger than they could ever be with a woman. If she goes and sleeps with your best mate, it's over. If the Rs' boss, Ian Holloway, slept with my best mate, QPR would still be my team. Even if many of the things that you loved about going to matches have gone - terraces, team shirts without sponsors and being able to smoke at grounds - you still stick with your team." - Peter Doherty.

Changing the manager won't do sh1t

Harry is alright - we've just been a bit unlucky in a few games.
