Looking at the bigger picture and without getting bogged down in debates of ownership or whatever, have we improved at all in the past 3 years? If you take a snapshot of us the day Bernie sold us with Warnock at the helm and a snapshot of us today, we are (I think anyway!) lower in the table than we were, and a fair few million out of pocket.

I like TF by the way - but just a general statement that is pretty worrying really.

I like Matty still.. think he just lacks confidence.

He started most games at the start of the season. Missed a couple of sitters against Spurs and United, which would of done his confidence the world of good.. But since then HR just seems to have disowned him. A short loan in the Champ probably wouldn't be a bad idea for him. He needs games.

        This!

However, because TF is a nice man it's all ok......

The #### will soon hit the fan if we get relegated, then we'll see what people think!

Just praying we'll stay up and I actually think we will. I've seen a few pieces online regarding clubs confirming players we've made enquires about and although they're loans, they'd still be quality additions.

The problem is, we're 19th in the league and unrest between fans and players has been portrayed badly in the media, would you want to sign for us at the moment?

Phillips is a average player, how we paid 5 million for him is beyond belief and the scout should be sacked. If he goes to Wigan lower reaches of championship is about his level.

You said the same about Toilett. We must be the most un confident team in history.

              Maybe they're just crap?

I thought he was getting better and better before his injury. I thought he'd be an important player for us this season but every time he's played he's been absolutely awful.

I think it's a lack of confidence. Phillips arrived as a big signing and expected to heavily feature in the promotion push and then get his chance in the Premier League again. It's been the opposite and I don't think Harry rates him.

A loan move, providing we sign a winger or two is a good move all round and hopefully he can find his form and confidence again and return in pre-season as the player we originally bought. If Harry is still around though, I think the loan move would be to put him in the shop window.
I think you are right there. It is down to Redknapp because when phillips played for Blackpool in the premiership under Holloway he did very well and won his full Scottish caps (Ok it's only Scotland). now he looks as if he cannot play football.

As individuals yes, as a team no. When I look back at the team that started away at Everton first season back I would shudder at the score if Harry was in charge.

                      Kenny
                      Orr
                      Hall
                      Gabbidon
                      Connolly
                      Buszaky
                      Derry
                      Smith
                      Faurlin
                      Taarabt
                      Agyemang

Still amazed at how we won

We are the perfect example that a team of indivuduals mean anff all. Just compare us to Burnley in terms of household name players, wages & mnoey spent & look at how well they're doing in comparison to us. Granted, points wise, they're only 1 game above us, but they totally out fought & played us on Saturday despite "on paper" us having a superior side. If there's something I've learnt these past few years, I would take a close knit group of players over big names all day long.

I agree. Burnley have spent £4m yet still above us.

They've have moulded a team of grafters with the odd flair player thrown in & it's working.

Ok they may go down, not sure they will, but if they do they go down with a virtually championship wage bill & only £4m out of their estimated £80m PL money. Us on the other hand

For some reason we always turn decent prospects into mediocre players, Phillips, Hoilett, SWP and one of the worse ones was Mike Sheron, he was banging goals in for fun then become goal shy when he joined us. Everybody was ecstatic when we signed Samba and look what happened there !!!!
