If Redknapp goes Glen Hoddle should be installed as head coach , with a say on what type of players we need .
So he doesn't have any other problem other tham team matters
As far as I can tell, his presence hasn't made the slightest difference so far for us - on that basis, I struggle to see how he can be considered the right man for the job. I find it pretty laughable that some think Hoddle is the answer, but completely dismiss Sherwood out of hand because of his Spurs roots and for being a Redknapp acolyte.

Agree with first part not necessarily the second.
I've warmed to the fact Sherwood may be a genuine candidate & I think he could liven a lot of these players up.
Wouldn't be my first choice, don't know who would be now our board have left it so late but I do believe he has a lot of passion & done a reasonably good job at spurs considering it was his first taste. He would of learned a lot.
Getting 'established' PL managers in Hughes & Redknapp has proved to be a monuments balls up so I see no harm in having a shot with Sherwood. Young & hungry, unlike the idiot we have now picking up a kings ransom.

What do you find disagreeable about the second part Jim? Fans are saying that Hoddle is the right man, in spite of the reasons I mentioned - others are using those same reasons as a stick to beat Sherwood with. You either forgive the Redknapp / Spurs connections with both and consider them a non-factor (as I do), or you take them into account for both.

What fans?
All I've seen is people questioning what exactly he's done considering our playing style is erratic to say the least & we're in the relegation zone?
P.S Don't care about a Spurs connection with TS. He's his own man.

Hoddle hasn't managed for 8 years, and as you attest to hasn''t had anything approaching success in a managerial capacity in 12. Not an ideal candidate in my book - he has been out of work for so long for a reason.
Sherwood had a 50% win ratio at Spurs last season....better than Redknapp, albeit from a much smaller sample size.

So our "erratic" playing style is a reason not to consider him as a potential candidate? Sorry, but that's cobblers. The whole point in bringing in a new manager is that they improve the playing style, so our current performances simply don't come into it. We will be in the relegation zone whether Sherwood takes over or not; again, not a reason to rule him out. Also, to say that he isn't suitable because we as a team have been dreadful, and are where we deserve to be in the league is ridiculous. To be honest, I think most simply dislike him as a person, and have something of an agenda where he's concerned.
Eddie Howe or Sherwood for me.. Cant see Eddie Howe leaving Bournemouth though.
Sherwood will bring the passion back I believe.. He also gives us a long term plan as a young manager. I believe he would also stick with us should we go down and I would trust him to build a young side capable of playing decent football.
