Yes, was thinking the same thing two days ago. Just look at Hughes record as our manager to start. Dismal. Then Harry takes over, and we finished 4-13-15 (unsure of the losses), long story short, were going to finish this season with 8 wins, 20 losses, and 10 draws. (My prediction, really hope im wrong!)

IIRC, we were 4 points from safety when Harry took over that year, and we went down 13 points adrift?

Yes. Another way of looking at it would be to say we had 4 points from 13 games when he took over, and in his period we managed 21 points from 25(and the last 3 of those we had nothing to play for). So the points per game ratio that season definitely improved after he joined.

            Lies, damned lies, and statistics.

We paid 2 million, not 6.

Aside from haggling over the numbers, which we all know are much higher than results would imply, did TF ever put himself forward as an identifier of football talent? If not, then it is the people working for him who own this massive failure. Yes, it is easy to see why he doesn't want to keep throwing silly money at the problem because it can vanish in the blink of an eye.
'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.

No but he must give Phil Beard some sort of boundaries to work within for transfer fees and contracts? Although judging by what we pay transfer wise and offer contract wise, Mr Beard must be offering close to the maximum with every signing!

What some website speculates we spent on players doesn't really matter - the books are fairly clear. 7th highest wage bill in the division, 3rd lowest turnover. Doesn't take Warren Buffet to tell you something's amiss.

The new FFP rules might be overly harsh, but it's absolutely criminal to run a club this poorly. I'd be a little more forgiving if some of the investment had gone into making the club sustainable long-term, but at the moment there's little evidence of that beyond architectural plans.

I think we need some one like Gerry Francis in the club on the financial side, the man has run clubs like Bristol R from top to bottom and knows the snake pit that is football transfers.

He could also coach the team in his spare time, I am being serious!
