Lets face it, If its Austin one on one in the box with heaton, A bit of added pressure don't make too much of a difference. That being said, you probably ended up supporting my point haha

There are some who don't want the club to invest because they want to cut costs due to the debt, the club can't really win here.

If we can clear some dead wood like SWP & Rio, that could then bring in Jermain Defoe.

My problem with Defoe is will he come here and end up like Sandro which leaves us back to square one?

The other problem we have is our defence needs work before anything else, it's where our main problems lie. Let's start from the back first for once and build a team for the future, if we leave the defence as it is then we'll never improve no matter who we have upfront.

Because I honestly think they don't trust redknapp to spend any money wisely . Plus we have no idea how hard this air aisa crash is going to hit Tony , it could ruin him I don't know the ins and outs .

Yeah thanks fellas i see what you mean. I'm not necessarily wanting Defoe on a huge contract.
Greg I think you could be right.....so for me sack him or back him....but yeah the AA thing has got to be a worry

I wouldn't blame him, it's important Charlie picks the right club tho!!! Southampton wouldn't be a bad shout, not LFC or Sours!!
              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

If we stay up then Charlie could still be with us, hopefully then we can improve things that not only keep good players at the club, but we can also attract players who want to come, not players who want a last payday.

Charlie and Barton both looked like they have had enough of playing with lesser players yesterday, I doubt either will be at the club come August next season no matter where we finish.

I've been thinking for a while now that maybe Joey and us need to go our separate ways.......not running him down or anything just think he needs a new challenge and we need better passing

Lesser players? Barton is one of the the lesser players.

One of the reasons relegation would be a disaster would be to lose CA
Hope to god he don't end up with these t***s

So impressed by this lad, time and time again. He's the forward we've been after for years. Natural goalscorer. I'd throw the bank at him now the window is open.

I was also going to post that.

Austin is almost certain to leave.
I cant see him wanting to stick around to carry the team.

Charlie looked very dispondent leaving the pitch on Saturday don't think he want to go back to the championship and that where we're heading with our defending?

We need Austin to stay, and I think he will, at least for the duration of the season. I don't really believe that he will pull a Remy on us.

That being said, we should hope for the best and prepare for the worst. We have needed and still need to sign one or two good, affordable strikers, even without the possibility of Austin leaving.

It would be absolutely idiotic to repeat our mistakes from the summer (not being fully prepared for the main striker's departure).
