I was beginning to think I am the only one who sees that Caulker has not been very good for us. Not terrible but always seems to be thereabouts when we concede, either out of position or not doing enough. Once again, the scorer of the winning goal walked away with Caulker's jock strap in his pocket.

Poor for Arsenal's second. Nowhere for Sheffield's first. Or their second. Handed Burnley's winner to them on a plate. That's in four games.

Agree! He's had his decent moments but overall seems to make too many errors, not consistent enough at this level although if his header from the corner late on goes in we probably all would have forgotten about his miscues for a bit!

You are very forgiving Carl, but I would have still remembered them! I've banged on about them in other threads for a couple of months now.

Edit: That said, I can forgive some defensive lapses for a centre back who also scores a few. But as that goes, Caulker's header was a very presentable chance and he should really have scored, not headed it straight at the middle of the goal.

Caulker was never great, he just scored a few for Cardiff and got the headlines.

I'm sure he'll improve but that transfer fee could have gone on an established CB.

Very rarely wins a defensive header (or so it seems) and thinks he's David Louis going forward.

It's noticeable how many time he has to be bailed out by dunne/Rio/onouha

Isn't that why we brought in Rio?

I think most of us were quite happy with Caulker being signed, like many deals we do it just hasn't worked out very well!

Got to agree with the OP. Rio has been lambasted all season yet who was his CB partner for all his "errors"?

i agree. He was easily brushed aside, but let's not forget that Rio was also done far too easily on his debut against Hull for their winner.
Dunne's defending for both goals ( especially the 1st) was very poor. I also think that had Hill attempted to clear with his right foot rather than spin round to get to use his left he could have cleared Ings' shot.
Overall QPR cannot defend as a unit and that is down to Redknapp and his coaches. Unless this improves QPR have no chance of avoiding relegation.
