Vargas is a striker and Isla is a wing back

We actually bought him to play 352 but that was abandoned after 2 games

Yes, but they have played better as right back and wing. Don't you agree?

I think Vargas especially would be better in his natural role as a striker and is wasted on the wing as we don't know how to use him and I suspect the same will happen with Zarate

All seems a bit square pegs round holes

Sorry disagree with this. In general I think Vargas looks the nuts on the wing. With Vargas and Isla behind, that right side is a real force. Wouldnt change that side 1 bit!! But the left is a different matter, NEED a left wing!!!

Vargas has been OK on the right. I wouldn't say he's the nuts or anything like it. I actually think he's wasted there. He hasn't a single assist. And hasn't scored in two months.... He'd be much better, I think, playing off Charlie or, should we ever have anyone in midfield able to carry the ball or pass it to players on the flanks who can actually put a cross in, up front next to Charlie. From there, pitching right, he can still link up with Isla. Phillips really, really, really needs to step up to the plate when next picked. And played on the right. Holliett, hopefully, will leave the building. Left side is a big problem, I agree.

Agree regarding the left wing I think Holileltt has had enough chances now to be honest

Sam: "he's just not good enough".

One thing I do know. Plenty of WHU aren't that bothered, basic line is he aint all that.

Our problem is our approach play (very slow and predictable) and I really can't see him making much difference in that department.

Is he a prolific goal scorer? No. Maybe wrong, but I don't see this making any difference to anything.

whether Vargas is better as a striker or on the wing is immaterial , he is a far better player on the wing than anybody else presently at the club ,so it's not a case of square pegs in round holes

77 - Vargas would be nuts on the right if we had someone in midfield capable to pass through balls to him.

Quality addition you say, but whether he's good quality or poor remains to be seen.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Midfield is our weakest link. Fer has to play in the middle. And whoever is not the flanks has to receive the ball in their third, nor ours as is too often the case.
