Be handy if the club gave full details about what options host club offer, what we decide to accept, the logic behind our decision and finally, how many we sell. Currently, it all seems a bit cloak-and-dagger for no apparent reason.
One thing though, for the most part, our away turnout has been pretty unspectacular this season and a 1600 allocation for Stoke sounds about right to me.

Generally the club takes the lower option as the tickets are sale or return. If the club take the full allocation, they have to pay for every seat, even if they don't get sold.

Last time around in the prem didn't we all get a email asking each fan to indicate which away games they planned on attending?
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!
