I tell ya what mush, man u at home is my best fixtures ever. Even surpasses the chelsea winkers. I live for that game cos they pack the gaff and the area. Anyone who was there the season we went down when the ref played 'last goal decides it' and played on for about an hour till cantona equalised will remember that day and that buzz forever, it was two to a seat. Even though the outcome was so killer.

Not bothering to read all the replies but this post is staggering!

If you're not arsed about becoming the next Pompey then I suppose it's fine!

Premier League or League 2 I will go and support the team. Obviously prefer the top flight but then again League 2 we might win more than we lose

The Premiership playing against the best teams is the place to be.
Relegation for QPR will be a financial disaster and it wouldn't be long before QPR drop even lower.
Have people forgotten already how many mundane seasons QPR had in the Champio ship before Warnock guided them to promotion? They were not very competetive and rarely threatened the top 8.

United do bring a lot and they are always noisy....certainly can't argue with that. I quite like City for the same reason, plus we always seem to have a cracking game against them (recently)

I think you lot who agree with us going down are just are bunch of negative moaners. If we cant compete in Premier League that means we hang around in the Championship. If we finish in top half every season (which I assume is competing) then you lot will be moaning that we should be winning the league. Whatever league we are win, you will still be moaning that we should be doing better. The only time you lot don't moan is when we win the league, but whats the point of winning the Championship or getting promoted coz you lot will only say we aint good enough to be in that league. So the question should be, What do you want for QPR that's realistic?

To me the whole point of supporting is a team is the cheer them on to win things and achieve stuff. The Premier League is the place to be, if we fail and get relegated then I be distraught but back to supporting them again and hoping we go back up, even if that takes another 15 years to do. But I will be cheering them on for as long as it takes for us to achieve stuff. By supporting QPR that may never happen in our life time!!! But this is the whole point of supporting a team.

Premier league all day long. I look at teams like Southampton and get jealous. Not long ago they were in league 1. Nothing stopping us emulating if we stay up and build properly.

I cannot understand why sone think the Championship was better. Take away the two promotion seasons the othors were close to disastrous with more than a few spent fighting relegation to League 1.
Seasons under Waddock Gregory Di Canio Dowie Sousa Magilton were dire. Id rather QPR get beaten by Man Ut Liverpool Arsenak Chelsea rather than Blackpool Sheff Weds Millwall and Watford.

I agree with this post. Nobody knows what the Financial implications are and this could end up with a legal battle whether or not we stay up. We did not agree to the financial implications because we weren't in the Championship and the rules have been changed since, so I think we have a pretty good case for not paying the fine. The most likely outcome is the the Football league and the Club will come to an agreement and we will pay some sort of fine. Not the amount demanded. It probably isn't in either parties interests to have a long drawn out Court battle. Especially since the Football league says it is not going to take any money from the fine as it should be going to charity.

Exactly but some people think we'll go down and come straight back up! Last season was hardly brilliant was it? Take away the playoffs and it was terrible to be honest!

The difference being should we go down this time, we'll be battling relegation, not promotion!

Would prefer us to be in the Prem but staying in the Prem does mean relegation battle after relegation battle.

Nonsense! Swansea and Stoke are two examples of progression.

As I said above anyway, Championship will be a relegation battle next season should we go down, that's if the football league accept us!

Can I reword this thread to say "If there were no financial implications, would you be concerned about us playing in the Championship next season?"
