  • Warren Farm - what's the latest?

Seems to have gone very quiet on it. Haven't heard anything from the Board about this in the last few months. Would be nice if they gave us whatever information they could every now and again.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

HR mentioned that he was updated when he met TF last month, it seems like Ealing are behind it so it should go through regardless of the one man and his dog band brigade.
    Kept the faith!

Last I heard, the objectors had applied to designate the land as "an asset of community value". This was obviously another attempt to derail our plans but I have read that, even if they get the land so designated, it wouldn't have any effect as we already have a legally binding agreement with the council.

It has gone very quiet on this - even the Save Warren Farm website hasn't been updated since July last year.

So, needles and faeces removed. To paraphrase this in positive key, the training ground construction preparations are progressing well

I wish the board would spend as much effort on improving the squad as they do with Warren Farm and the new stadium!

Improving the squad is essential, a new training ground and stadium isn't! This has been wrong from day one. All this talk of 40,000 stadia and a state of the art training complex is absolutely a waste of time unless you're an established PL club, something we won't be for another 2-3 years, if we survive this season. The sooner the people high up realise this, the better, but I fear it's too late!

Im sure that they do know that - that's why they've already invested £170M in the club. But while there are still doubts over the land for both projects, I can't see them continually throwing money at us. At some stage, they either need to be confident that their investment will pay off, or they will decide to cut their losses, rinse us for all that they can and walk away.

Lot's of money has been spent on the squad over the last few years, I bet we have spent over £100m and if you include wages then it will blow your mind. The owners are looking at the longterm and that works for me.

Lost of money has indeed been spent on the squad over the last few years. But does getting aged and underperforming yet expensive "stars" rejected by other clubs, again and again and again and again, actually means that owners are looking at the long term? In the summer the owners made noises about having learned something - and then we signed Rio. They will never learn.

How much has Harry spent and gained (sale of players) in each transfer window since he's been here??

                    Genuine question.

except you know, we bought Mutch, Caulker etc who are all young talents who their clubs were desperate to keep. But keep focussing on one player

I think HR has spent well, Remy, Samba where great bits of business, who was to know Samba was a dead man walking and we have been unlucky with Remy, top striker!

HR has got some excellent young players in, if he isn't allowed to spend money this window it will hurt, if we manage to survive under those circumstances, he will finish off his rebuilding in the summer.

Agree with that cali!.... like I said before, would like to know how much HR has actually spent in each window since he's been here and how much he's actually been given to spend each time? Also how much has he gained on sales?...

Dont think He's done that bad in each window really.... like mentioned above done 2 bits of great business when he 1st joined with Remy and Sama-(at the time). Even though we got relegated we came straight back up with a team put together of players 'not' for the future (Austin and Yun aside) and being a newly relegated side I'm sure we wernt that appealing to most footballers.. And there's the summer transfer window just gone where HR started planning for the future with a few great young signings and probably had the best transfers in years with not a lot to spend.

passed it the other week, no money spent on it since I went there with my school 67-72. Shitehouse. Why anyone would object to money being pumped into WF to improve facilities is beyond me
