  • Why we have always failed!

Forget Harry for a moment and think why we as club have failed in cup games no matter what manager or owner?

Until we have BIG enough squad with proper training set-up, we will never be successful club.

Look at Swansea line-up at Tranmere:
Tremmel, Richards, Bartley, Amat,Tiendalli, Fulton, Carroll, Barrow, Emnes, Dyer, Gomis

Only two from the first team: Dyer and Gomis. Even both are not regular starters. The rest have played in the PL this season as cover in case of injuries so they have been fit and prepared very well for this game.

Carroll on the other hand who we have always said was useless scored. So is he $hit or is it our taining to blame?

Swansea won comfortably AWAY and we were hammered home despite having 4-5 players from the first team.

I now fear the likes of Austin, Fer, Caulker and Zamora to have a bad period during the second half of the season beacuse of being overused.

That's why having an ACADEMY should NOW be a top priority URGENT matter for the club.

Brian clough would turn in his grave to here you say overused, they get good money to kick a ball around once a week, charlie would not want to be left out anyway. Teams from the past never had big squads but played practically the same team every week for peanuts and pride. Look at our team 75-76 season imagine if we left Stanley out because he was to tired from running to the betting shop. We need a good squad with some guts

Unfortunately it is now 2014 and things are not the same as they were in 1975-76. I think the UK is the only country in Europe which does not have a winter break.

Your correct . I'm those days footballers were men who appreciated the gift they had as opposed to the over paid over protected ponces of today's world

Maybe the FA should look to extend out season to June, then give the poor soles who are hard up 2 weeks holiday over Xmas

Maybe all players (worldwide) should be on a basic wage and the rest topped up by performance related bonuses...soon see them make an effort.
