We lost 1-0.. guess who scored.

But we went on to win the league by 10 points... so they can have that one.
Amazing atmosphere that day and I vaguely recall Keegan arriving by helicopter!!

5-5 draw was of course a classic and also the time when Stejskal saving the penalty

Strangely enough though my biggest memory was when we lost 2-1 and Holloway put us in the lead before the Peter Beardsley show took over and the noise that day was electric.

Colin Clarke and Martin Allen scoring up there in a scrappy 2-1 win in 1989. In front of a mega crowd of about 16,000. Ultra loyal Geordies, best fans in the world you know and DEFINITELY not a bunch of sad arsed glory hunters.

I was there that day, when the Beardsley penalty was saved, we all went mad in our little corner terrace. I was bear hugged by this man mountain, I swear he cracked some ribs.

Deffo one of my best personal memories.
