Hate all this "tiredness after the festive fixtures" lark. They're professional athletes, playing (at most!) 90 minutes of a team sport 4 times in 10 days. How about tennis players that play multiple hours per day of intensive individual sport for consecutive days during Grand Slams? Don't hear them whining about tiredness.
Just an excuse to hide behind. You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Agree with most of the comments here but, being pedantic, HR didn't actually say that we lost because of the number of fixtures etc.. He said “They looked like a team that hadn’t played for ten days, and we looked like a team that has played four games in ten days.
“We looked lethargic, they looked sharp and they thoroughly deserve their win."
Not trying to defend him but there is a subtle difference between what he said and actually trotting it out as an excuse. Mind you, I don't think he's clever enough to make that distinction so it probably was an excuse.

I don't think he can excuse that performance in any shape or form. As for not being able to do much in the transfer window, that too is bu****it.

There's always an excuse with Redknapp if we turn in a bad performance and there always will be.
His in a position where he can say and do what he wants and know his job is always going to be safe. He also has far too much respect for himself to turn around and say it was my fault. His 75 years of age, he aint going to do that at this stage of his career... The only thing he can do is make excuses.
I honestly reckon he cannot wait to get out of the door at Rangers. One way or another he wont be with us next season.
