i was also one of the paying mugs..and what i saw was a team completely unable to play the system they had been asked..even the official line up was completely different to the way the team set up. were we 3-4-3? 3- 5-1-1? 3-2-1-2-1? 4-1-2-3 impossible to work out.

Mate I fully see your point but was it systems or was that they couldn't hold their shape or couldn't control the way to play if they had the bottle about themselves and wanted it they could have 5 3 2 and if cant do that off their own backs then all the more reason to use more of their free time on the training pitch

My take on the game was, we got bullied in the middle they (a league one team) made our CM's look like a non league team throughout the whole game. Henry does his job in covering the back 4 but when you have Mutch and Fer doing absolutely nothing all game he was always going to struggle.
Hoilet (who i have stuck up for) was pony, Cambell-Rice showed him how its done.
Phillips was only near positive for me, he worked his socks off and only played his natural position for 10 mins (RW) in those 10 mins we had our only real chance a Bobby head from his cross, before being moved again to another position where again he didnt really get the ball or have a chance to do anything.
Defence looked shaky all game and obv didnt have any confidence in what they was doing.
Austin shouldnt have been playing it was a no win situation for him he looked shattered from the start and never really got the ball.

LACK OF CREATIVITY has killed us again in this game plus decisions to keep Rio on instead of Caulker and Mutch on instead of Henry.

I have always said stick with the manager give him a chance but I am on the last legs with Redknapp.

any team may get away with one passenger but not 3 0r 4 , mutch should change his first name to 'dontdo' , fer to casual heart wasn;t really in it and hoilett and phillips were woeful. the utd players played with heart and energy , they chased every ball to the end . it was another shameful display by mugs not fit to where the shirt .

If you have complacent management, you're going to get complacency on the park. You can play any system you like but you have to want it. Results like this can undermine league form.
