Red card overturned as appeal was successful, have not seen it on TV but looked to me as that he wanted to punch and kick Henry, that is surely agressive action regardless of whether he connects, not so sure Barton would have won that appeal.

Routledge sending off

I thought the red was harsh but did not expect it to be overturned as Routledge definitely had a little kick at Henry when he was on the floor.
Compare to Shaun Derry's infamous red, which was not overturned, and tell me which one had the better case for being rescinded.'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.

I thought it was a red. Henry was doing a good solid job & Routledge lead his head in (very lightly but still did) lashed out & looked like he was going to do some weird angry umpa lumpa karate kick. A red for meUnder Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

At the game I thought bang on. After watching it on MOTD I think the ref gave the card to the wrong player.
Henry was very lucky to stay on the pitch. Literally went through Routledge. In fairness to Routledge he had a right to be aggrieved & only nudged Henry with his leg, didn't draw back & kick him. Right decision overturning it I think.

Same as scissor tackles, tackles from behind, still could get the ball but illegal.

Whilst I feel Routledge's red was harsh, he definitely did have a kick at Karl Henry and by the letter of the law, he should have had no real case to dispute the red. As someone else said earlier in the thread, had that have been Barton there is no chance whatsoever of the card being overturned.
In my opinion there is no consistency when it comes to how the league manages disciplinary issues.

Right to be rescinded but also correct that had that been Barton, no ####ing way would it have been and that is what is wrong ! Think may be a little retribution here for the Refs decision with regards to Green, again wrong but it looks that way !
