He was offered to Steve Brown at QPR last season but he wasnt that interested in him. Sham cos the boy is going to be a star in the next couple of seasons.

He's been in prison already for mugging children in Muswell Hill. He got thrown out of Southampton for bad behaviour.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Yer i know, throwen out of Southampton and left swindon to go to newcastle. All that taken into account hes a good player. Already playin England under 19s and told he will play under 21s soon. Shearer signed him and rates him as the best prospect in England for years. There were eight Prem clubs after him including Liverpool, Villa, and Arsenal so why didnt we take him?

On the mugging issue he was with a group of eight who decided to take a lads mobile and some money. As he was 6 foot 2 he was easily identified.

Just saw the goal in the Wigan reserve match myself......looks like a real talent.

Gotta question his rack record tho. Time in juvenile detention for his involvement in a mugging and passed up by Southampton and Palace for his attitude/discipline problems!

Thats why he chose Newcastle so he could get away from wood green. He won the Bobby Robson trophy for the best young player.

Saw him play at Loftus Road last season and he absolutely tore us apart,we couldn't handle his pace and power.

This is the type of player we need right now.

The mugging incident was blown out of proportion. He's left that life behind him now and I'd like to think he's learnt from his mistakes and is taking his career seriously now. Bennefit of the doubt and all that.

I did some very, very silly things in my younger days. Things I'm not proud of, but I left that group of mates behind when I was 20 and never looked back. Never did anything as extreme as mugging someone, but I was a little git all the same. People change, so give the lad a break.

You are absolutely right Benny and its not always appreciated how hard it is for some young lads to move on when that is how they have been brought up and all they know and all the kids around them are doing much the same. That said, I'd be a bit worried if he was still going out mugging children on 20k a week...

You'd like to hope he could afford his own mobile phone these days.

You're right though mate. I was lucky that I had support from a great family and met a new set of mates at the right time. I owe loads to them all. Sometimes you need a little luck to get back on the right track and I certainly bennefitted from that. Fingers crossed he's doing just that. It seems to be working well for him.

I have to be mean and wish him the worst of luck for Wednesday, but other than that, I hope the boy does well.
