Please can we just go for this one? Let's try dropping our usual approach to away games; lining up in a wall on the edge of our own penalty area, "keeping it tight" and showing too much respect. We did well in the first half today because we pressed them high up the pitch. Got in their faces, broke up their renowned 'passing football'. Let's go for it against Burnley and actually impose our football on them rather than the other way round. Massive change in mentality needed if we're to turn around our dismal fortunes on the road.

I would get involved in this thread but Nasser has banned me from talking about our away efforts

Haha, I have done no such thing, I just said that there is no point constantly talking about how everyone here has said things will change. Please be my guest and put in your two cents friend

Likely to get overrun in midfield playing four there. But have to play two up front. Catch 22.

Law of averages says we will eventually get an away result and it could just be Burnley that we get it at ! Have a feeling though it could be in the form of a 0-0 draw though with Harry flooding the midfield !

For me this is the key point. But so long as we have the same person in charge, I'm not holding my breath.

Something very few people on here will ever understand 77. You can play 2 strikers and not score. It does happen

                  How very patronising.

I'm sure the vast majority of us here know how football works stat boy. No need for your sh!tty posts mate.

4-3-3 could result in no goals also, but its pointing out the glaringly obvious no?

It's not patronising, it is just that it is all I hear on this forum, everyone says oh you are never gonna win a match with 1 up front and all that and it is annoying to hear for me because I know for a fact that tactically the formation works. But please, be my guest and continue your great agenda of anti-mi and anti stats. It really is hilarious

With the right personnel to play it it works Nasser but with how our squad has been put together its unlikely we will win playing it as we don't have a player in drogba or giroud mould to make it work if that's addressed transfer window who knows but on current form we more often then not play one up top away and the goals scored and final result demonstrates with current squad we can't play that system

I absolutely agree with that wests, I have said it a few times that I feel sorry for redknapp that I'm sure he expected certain players to be able to play the system (Hoilett, Phillips) but they have not performed, once he gets in the right players I'd feel positive about us using that formation.

I have a bad feeling about this game. They have come off 2 good away draws. We have come off 2 disappointing home draws. They win and go above us.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Yes, I would snap your habds off for a draw but fear we will lose.
I am still optimistic we can stay up though.
Their squad will now be tested with the injuries they picked up yesterday.

Definitely will, their two first choice centre-halves will be out (Duff and Shackell), and 1 that they brought on yesterday got injured too, so will likely have to play a youth player alongside that Michael Keane who looked decidedly dodgy when we played them last month.

We HAVE to play Zamora and Austin and try for the win, as Bobby should be able to impose himself on their inexperienced defence creating chances for us.

Sit back and we will lose again, as Burnley are good going forward and pressurising teams.
