    Green
    Isla
    Caulker
    Dunne
    Onouha (pacey fit and defensive)

    Henry hold infront of CB's
    Mutch (for energy levels)
    Fer to create

    Zamora
    Vargas
    Austin
Onuoha cannot pull off left back, we are stuck with hill until we get cover. I said in another thread that I would love to see Fer in the Zamora role. More energy and stronger in the air. Give Zamora a break from time to time. Make sure Barton knows to play simple and give it to mutch and let mutch be the creative hook, barton be the enforcer with Henry, albeit further up the pitch

I don't think we can go gung-ho in these sort of games now.... we need to do what Palace did at our place: stifle the game and turn it into a dour and ugly affair and not lose. Away to the likes of Scum and City are the sort of the games we ought to just say sod it and give it a real go but games against the clubs around us are not the ones in which we should throw caution to the wind.
Maybe if we'd beaten Swans we could be more expansive at Burnley but fact that they go above us if they win now means we need to focus on maintaining the gap between us and them.

I think by playing Zamora and Austin will be even harder for us. I think Austin is being found out. They all now how he plays and is marking him well. Bobby, sorry to say, is a 20 minutes player. He cannot run and chase the opponents, so clearly its like us playing with ten men. Playing away, we needs players with a lot of energy and that can chase the opponents all through the ninety minutes. Prefer Krancjar to Bobby...at least he can create something.

Spot on - 1 point away in this game is almost a win in itself.

You say players that can chase the opponents for ninety minutes and then say play Niko against Burnley. I take it you didn't see him against Arsenal??

In this game maybe because Burnley have a tight small pitch , but Bobby away from home on big pitches just cant do it for 90 mins now, maybe bring him on for the last 15/20 yes. I think IF he signs it will be Zamora to make way

Will mean changing our whole style of play then because for me it's pretty cleR instructions, hit Bobby & go from there.

He can't play 90 mins at home either but I take your point on possibly bigger pitches. No point bringing him on though if we're trailing. Would rather start with him, try & get a lead, then change things about.

As a big man Stephen Fletcher would be a good replacement for Bobby

                      Very pricey.

                      Rickie Lambert?

Probably the key element to our second half of the season. The pitches are much smaller in our next set of away matches. This suits us quite a lot. not just for bobby but in general for our style of play

You think? He's a battler but I don't know if he's got Bobby's strength in dealing with rough centre backs. Zamoras a lump & aggressive with it & he gets a good going over most games.

Crazy isn't it? Found out? Didn't look "found out" when he banged 3 passed West Brom just 4 games ago!

For me Charlie has looked tired in the last 2 games, and hardly suprising given he has played virtually every minute this season other than the last 20 mins in the game he was sent off in and the subsequent suspension. We desperately need to bring in another goalscorer to take a bit of pressure off of Austin!

Really difficult team selection this. Think we'll lose if we play 442 by being hustled in midfield. So, having to play one up, I'd bench Charlie for tactical reasons, start Bob, and play 4231..... Charlie can't play up front by himself, so he couldn't start, but he would come on at some point.

                                Green
                                Isla Dunne Caulker Hill
                                Barton Henry
                                Vargas Fer Mutch
                                Zamora

It's more than time for that f acker Mutch to step up to the plate. Can't say naming him fills me with any pleasure, but Holliet and Philips are total pants and Kransjar is too slow and can't play away from home.... Thin pickings, but Bob up front by himself can hold things up and enable the three behind him to run off him, in front of him, and use the flanks. Playing Charlie up by himself can't be done.
