No doubt your wish about a cup thumping will be true, but I doubt that QPR will get a win at Burnley. They are a team that plays witth a lot of heart and attack at home and away.
That we have already beaten and who are below us in the league.................oh how I wish we had that much heart
Burnley fought back from 2 down to draw at Man City.
They used all 3 subs in the 1st half due to injuries, yet fought back at Newcastle to equalise 3 times and hit the woodwork 3 times. QPR went there and sat back like frightened rabbits and lost 1-0.
I would rest some players like Dunne Hill Zamora and not risk Austin. but other than that field a fairly strong team to build up confidence (losing at home to a League 1 side will not help morale).
McCarthy
Onuoha - Caulker - Ferdinand - Traore (if no youth left back is available)
Vargas, Fer Mutch Hoilett
Krancjar
Phillips

If its a scratch side that loses don't think it will do an awful lot for confidence myself Stan but if the first side get turned over then we have to go to Burnley does not bare thinking about
This is a huge banana skin game in last few seasons Sheff Utd have been very good in the cup knocking out loads of teams above them
You need to ask what benefit will a cup run get the club pos income home ties, moral boost something that this team has is spirit in my books pace not much but a team mentality yes work for each other etc so you play the younger players and swp adel etc see what happens they may do very well but you dont chance injuries or bans esp with vital games coming up burnley being one survival in the premiership is much more important than the f.a cup.

QPR fought back against league leaders and unbeaten team at the time Chelsea away from home and were undone by a poor refereeing decision. We beat Burnley already this season and they were poor. A few years back, Derby county played with a lot of pride and passion and ended up with the worst points total in the prem. After that we had Blackpool who did the same and even more, look at what happened there. It's nice to see your team play bursting with passion etc, but it means nothing in the modern game.
"What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. The idea that I trust my eyes more than the stats, I just don't buy that because I've seen magicians pull rabbits out of hats and I know I just know that rabbit's not in there." - Billy Beane
I cannot remember the last we time we got beyond first hurdle in FA Cup..... does anyone know? All I can recall is a LOT of defeats and draws (which normally end in defeat in replay). Even when we wallowed in third tier and came in at first round we STILL ballsed it up!
We must comfortably have the worst FA Cup record of any club this century and probably over past 30 years. 'Arry will certainly rest several players and Blades love the cup - I'm looking at odds of 4-1+ on Blades and thinking it's free money and it'd be rude not to wet my beak.............

Thank goodness we don't manage the team we would be full of pride and passion but little else
