Bardsley, McDonald and Dichio wd walk into our side. We are blessed with really good wide players now but you couldn't leave out Sinclair. Brevett would sneak in, not because he was that brilliant but because he was certainly better than Borrowdale. Wilkins was on last knockings then and Holloway was never all that so wd prefer our current midfield. As MYU said, prob quite evenly balanced. Then again, think the standard across the two top leagues is prob higher now than it was then.

At the time Bardsley was an England right back and was quality I'd play him.

Agree regarding Brevett as well he went on to have a good career playing well under Keegan at fulham and then Tigana.

I'd also play a young Kevin Gallen ahead of Simpson Sinclair gets in ahead of Routledge but Rowlands and Watson are in ahead of Wilkins and Olly.

Actually looking back the side that went down was pretty poor, Mark Hateley what was Wilkins thinking.
