  • Half Season Poll

So what is everyones take on our position and points halfway through the season?

I think we have done ok and if I had been offered this position halfway through before the season I would have taken it (but only just, since I somewhat crazily expected us to be the surprise package this year and finish 9th )

We have got to be happy where we are at the turn of the year. Everything to play for

We haven't been cut adrift and are as capable as any of the bottom eight to stay up. Hope the Jan window turns out to be a good one and we should just scrape safety.

Another 5 wins and 3 draws should be enough.

Yes, but then we need to get most of those points away from home. If we get them from the home games, I don´t think it will be enough. (Although it will be nice wins against the top teams)

Given the squad that was assembled at such a late stage, I am relived that QPR have 18 points and are not adrift as they were 2 seasons ago.

However, I am hugely disappointed with 0 away points. I expected at least 4 points from those fixtures.

Unless improvements are made to the squad I don't expect to see a better 2nd half to this season.

Had to vote better than expected but with the big qualification that we have a massively harder second half to the season so still think we are right in the relegation mix.

The last time we where in the PL, we were marooned at the bottom around Xmas / New Year - we all have to be happy with our position this time around, all things being equal. Our home form has been better than expected, whilst our away form has been quite literally useless. From January, I'd expect our home and away results to begin to even out (as home games get more difficult and away games get easier, on paper at least) and we should finish comfortably safe from relegation.

Not sure what else little old QPR can expect? Feel January is the decider for us. Strong month and we will move clear.

So long as HR is in charge and we are not in the relegation zone: better than expected.

We had the easy half of the season and have 18 points. Can we get another 18 with a far more difficult 2nd half? It's touch and go.

I thought we would be in the top 11-12 but happy enough, let's see what happens in this window, one two forwards, 1-2 wide players, LB,RB and DM, lose Troare, Adel & Hoillet and we will would be in good shape.

Like others have said, I'm just happy to not be adrift! We started the season with a very unbalanced squad and lots of new players so it was always going to be tough, it could have been disastrous if we lost Charlie for any length of time! The second half of the schedule is more difficult but hopefully with the proper moves in the transfer window the squad will be better balanced and we'll be up for the fight!
