Its absolutely ridiculous, how we look like we have difficulty playing against such crap as Alexis Sanchez, Rosicky, Cazorla to name a few in this match. At best League 2 players the lot of them. Certainly not Champions league quality are they

I don't think you can say that yesterday was down to negative tactics. There's only so much the manager can do. The execution is down to the players. We played with two strikers up top, the plan was to catch them on the break with the pace of Vargas, Isla and Traore. Sometimes things don't work out and of course if plan doesn't work out you can blame the manager but don't think it's fair to say that Harry wasn't giving it a go. I think that we should just relax a little and stop putting pressure on the players with every away game. It doesn't help.

Oh come on Nasser. This was an Arsenal side missing Wilshere, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil and Ramsey. Rather than put out a side to compete properly, we sat back, gave the ball away cheaply almost every time we got it and showed next to nothing until we were 2-0 down. We could have easily got a point out of that if we had done things differently.

People can make all the excuses that they like, but we thoroughly outplayed both Man City and Liverpool and were unlucky not to have won both, so are clearly capable of good performances. You'll be saying Burnley should be beating us next as they are fighting for their survival.

As much as fans want to blame Redknapp, I think the fans need to lay the blame on players like Traore, Mutch and Krancjar for under performing. traore was almost sleep walking whilst Mutch should have grasped the chance with both hands to make a huge impression. krancjar should have been the playmaker for the team and failed miserably.
My main complaint with the manager was playing 3-5-2, but understand that he wanted to rest some players for Sunday's match.

Hopefully away performances in 2015 will be more attack minded given that many of the top sides have been played now..

You have summed my views up brights. To many on here hiding behind excuses for our appalling away form and burying their heads in the ground

Not doing that at all, we are where most hoped we would be in the table and are playing with such heart at home its not something i want to drive myself mad about it cos as bad as it is, its doesnt matter to much yet. If it stays exactly the same all season we will keep our premiership place.

Ozil never plays anyways, the others are just more attacking options. Arguably they would have made our lives easier because they don't track back as much. We may be capable of great performances but look at teams like Pulis's Stoke who knew how to use their pitch to their advantage, the same way we have. What do the teams liverpool and Man City have in common? They both utilise wingers alot and that requires lots of space on the wing which loftus road doesn't give them. We can't play that close confined football away because our pitch is tiny compared to the rest of the league.

Quote was not directed at you

Yes we are where many expected but imagine where we would be if we put some effort in away from home and had chalked up perhaps 4 or 5 away points in 9 games surely 5 points away is not an unreasonable expectation

Too many excuses about difficult away games and an assumption when easier ones come along form will pick up away but what's this belief based upon as what have we won away in our last two seasons in this division 5 games?????

Our position currently is based on home form and home form alone and after tomorrow I dont think we can assume we're going keep churning wins out as games get a whole lot harder

I think we will stay up but were going need at least 6 points away from the bush. Burnley away could make or break our season win and we have belief we can beat those around us away but lose and this team will have no belief away as the excuse too many have hidden behind is when we play those around us away form will pick up. Not long to wait and find out

I have no doubt tactics away against Burnley, Hull, palace etc will be exactly what we have seen so far and in the championship last season try and hold what we have and take a point

i know it wasnt directed at me, but im deffo one of the few that isnt too down when we lose away. Course i want us to win every game, but the home form is keeping me from getting too peed off.

Taarabt would've been the best sub to bring on once Giroud got sent off. Him through the middle would've created a few chances. Harry's got an ace in his pack and needs to use him when needed.

So what you are saying is that you don't expect us to keep doing the same thing at home for the next half of the season? Then why can't the same be said away from home? why must we look at it in the more negative light only that we won't be as consistent at getting points at home only when you are forgetting the same can be said away from home.

I'm like you I think we will survive but the away form is making what is a difficult job anyway twice as hard

I have no problem with losing away from home but its the way we lose mate we surrender outside of the bush our home and away efforts are chalk and cheese and unacceptable but many seem content because of our current placing to turn a blind eye and defend the performances

I accept these things aren't quite as simplistic as this, but is there anybody on this board who thinks that if we had set about teams away from home like we are quite clearly capable of doing, that we would not have picked up one win and one draw?

Those extra four points would have seen us in twelfth place and virtually everyone on here would be delighted with the season so far. Despite the fact that we would have already lost 10 games this season, or 50%.

No doubt there would be a couple of lunatics who would be complaining about not being in the top 8, but the majority would be over the moon, not at all worried about survival and this board would be quite a different place.

That's all some of us are saying. We are not asking for miracles.

We really are getting closer to a point or even a win in every away game we play. Deofe would of scored (or laid on another goal for chaz) in those last ten minutes yesterday, im certain of it. And he will be playing for us in the next load of away games fingers crossed, and bingo. Bobs yer uncle.

Kev, not quite sure how you arrive at the first bit after the first hour yesterday.

As for Defoe, again, I'm not certain how you are quite so confident but you have been consistent with that view for some time now. If it's true, then let's hope it's very early doors and we can start taking advantage of it.
