Ronaldo was given HUGE stick by the Man Utd fans, inc booing in his first TWO years. Let's not be selective with memory here. Ditto Wegerle who copped a great deal of flack from the crowd, particularly around the start of the 90/91 season and this after he made a great start.

Great players take no notice and it's water off a ducks back. He must learn from this.
Was also going to use Ronaldo as an example.

i dont think it was booing as such, more groans of disappointed and frustation when we knew he should have played others in instead of trying to beat 3 or 4 players. he then threw his toys out the pram. great talent but must see what other options he has on. i hope he takes notice of what magilton is telling him

The worst thing in this case is that we're booing a brilliant young player who is not ours, and never will be if we continue to treat him with disrespect. He clearly wants to do well and sometimes gets carried away with his ability.

Did we ever boo the likes of Wegerle, Bowles, Marsh etc., when they went on a mazey run and lost the ball or blasted wide instead of squaring it? No...we did not.

Did Manure fans boo Ronaldo for these reasons?
I'll bet the Cardiff fans don't berrate Ledley when he decides to try and take the team on.

We really need to take a look at ourselves and ask what we think we've become?
So high and mighty these days that we expect perfection?

It's a joke and I'm glad we weren't on tv for this one as it was far more embarrasing last season when we did this to Mahon.
So true Benny....... years ago we'd have been out of our seats with encouragement.........

“They can be a bit headstrong at times. Will I put an arm around him? No, I’ll probably throttle him for not passing! "

I love the talent that Adel has, but he MUST learn to pass to make the most of his runs. To me people booed him not passing and after that cheered when he did pass, so hopefully even in that match he realised that he has to pass for the teams sake. I don't usually condone booing but I think on this occaision it may have done some good.

I have alot of repsect for Pete and I think he does alot of good work on this board and he does come across as a nice guy BUT the way he interviewed Tarrabt was all wrong. How is a young guy going to realise he made a 'big' mistake by not passing to our most gifted player in Buzacky. He deserved a hatrick after such a wonderful performance. I think Jim summed it up by not defending Adel to the press. If we defend him then it is saying it is ok to be a selfish sod and forget out playing as part of a team. The fact it was 5-2 is rubbish. He is guilty of doing it when we are 0-0 etc etc. It might sound all very strict but there is no hiding the matter that results have picked up without him in the team.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Well said. It's like as though some fans think we are Inter or AC Milan.
Certainly Flavio seems to think so, calling Sousa from Kuala Lumpur, demanding Lee Cook to be put on against Palace. Ridiculous.

its amazing how your analysis is very superficial ! if it was this statemant so easy then gerard or ronaldo shouldnt play when their teams win without them! unbelievable how you watch football. the wining came from a deep build up and automatism during the past games and the hard work done by the players all and jm and start now to pay off, i wouldnt remind you how many fans wanted even to get rid off JM! at that time, let see the last wins eventhough they were against a struggling teams.
let make a line on this and we look at the statistics:
how many matches we were wining with Taarabt and then the other teams equalize qhen he was substituted? who was the root of most goals or scorer of QPR in the past games ? that was many points brought by him when he was on the pitch during the last games and how we lost most of them when he went out.
all your small view of things is based on the SECOND win at poor cardiff ( and as a reminder the FIRST win was done by a solo beautiful work by ADEL) then came a poor side last Saturday, we scored 4 goals in 70 MIN and we got 2 GOALS during same time, with that 15-20 min with Adel he was the origine of the FIFTH goal when his shot went off to CORNER. and we didnt receive any goal as usualy when TAARABT on the picth.
I wish he wont play from the start against newcastle just to see how we would resist them even some of their key players are out of injuries.
next time when you make a statemant , be sure that you are rational in your saying.
