never seen a player bottle so many tackles as phillips, he goes missing all the time , doesn't want the ball and misses the target , but he doesn't pick himself . i'm still waiting for mutch to have a good game for us , needs to pull his socks up and show some real fight
Hard game, no one really played well. Phillips is very talented. No question a little low on confidence tho
Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
Well I'll stick my neck on the line and say phillips is worth hanging onto. Personally think the lads got something just massively short of confidence and unfortunately has struggled with injuries since he's been at the club and now has struggled to get a run of games.
If he went on loan somewhere and got a run of games I think that would benefit everyone but to just #### him off and chuck him to the curb when you don't take in his age and circumstances since he's been at the club is a little harsh in my opinion.
As for Hoileet hes been given numerous chances and have said it for months on here, he's pony. He loses the ball in so many good positions because he just does not pick his head up and do the simple things. To have a winger who doesn't know how to cross is beyond me.
Yet again he cost us a goal by losing concentration and failing to cover for Everton's 3rd - seem to remember it happened earlier in the season. If we can't sell him for a decent price I would loan him to a championship side so he can try and get some confidence back.
