77 were hiding behind league placing's with that and totally ignoring the performances we have put in against those teams

We will be saying at the end of the season the teams we played were in the top nineteen because that's the way its going if we carry on playing with those tactics away from home.

We've been poor, West. And sometimes terrible. I've seen every f acking one of them. I only watched tonight on a stream, mind. Two goals in eight away games is dismal. But still..... We are playing good teams away from home.... It's worth reflecting on that. And seeing what happens when we play those around us....

And as I've said in the match thread, we've got to try and beat those top teams at home.

Plus we don't seem to play any different away against any team, even Burton Albion, so that doesn't necessarily fill me with confidence.

I never watched it this evening, but i take it we were 451?
I think if we play 1 up away we should go 4231 because that way we have a threat and help for CA
Plus 2 dm in front of the back 4

Yep. Perhaps, for ten minutes at the end of the first half, 4411.

Cant agree 77 if we were turning up and putting in efforts away like we have at home against City and Liverpool then I could take your point on board about getting beat by superior sides but while we persist with just turning up and rolling over then in my book it don't matter what the league placing's are were just wasting games

We can write the away games off this season at this rate and just say our season is a 19 game season based on home games alone where everyone else has 38 games to pick up points

For sure. We have been woeful away from home. Absolutely woeful. But of the seven teams we've played five are in the top six and all are in the top ten.....

The one away performance where we played well was stamford bridge so with that in mind i have to question
why we don't treat other teams with the disrespect we show our neighbours and hugely expensive world stars

A good post by you in the match thread. I agree with it. We are rubbish away from home, Harry picks poor teams, but we've been beaten by the form teams.... I may be clutching at straws, I readily concede....

But that's the problem we have not played yes we have turned up and put 11 men on the pitch but have we given the opposition a game of football????? like we do at home.

Man City were in the top six when we played them at home that never seemed to make any difference to the performance we put in so why should that change because were playing a top six side away???

The only stats worth mentioning are that fact we have only scored two goals away from home and not 1 point registered. We could play any team away from home and probably lose, the tactics are simply way too negative.

Away games are always going to be different. We certainly can't go on putting out the teams we've been putting out. Our woeful lack of pace can hamper us at home, but it destroys us away because we haven't a change of breaking on the counter and nicking something. 4231 is what we probably need to play, but that would mean dropping Charlie, who can't play up front by himself. And he's got the only two goals we've scored in seven aways games...... If the likes of Philips or Holliet were premiership players we could use them on the flanks. But they're not.....

That's probably true. Tactics have to change. But Swansea won tonight because they are good and we are poor. Lets see what happens when we play teams below tenth in the table away. It starts with Everton.
