Money talks V and I think CG have got out of this what they intended too which was to drive us to the negotiating table instead of us just assuming we will force our will

      • Don't want to sound tooooo smug, but I did say there would never be a CPO.

Looks like Fernandes has finally realised the reality of OOC and is now clutching at straws to mend the broken relationship with Car giant (Which Fernandes and CO clearly broke).

I'm now guessing Car giant will say "Not a chance" as they have London & Regional (Read my previous post) on board and do not need QPR…

        • "It is understood that Cargiant's opposition to a stadium on the site remains implacable and the Cargiant consortium is confident that there are no legal grounds for a CPO to make way for QPR's plans given that there is no case for it as a "necessity" as they are proposing a major regeneration scheme.
The Greater London Authority's endorsement of the Cargiant consortium also suggests there is little appetite from the mayor for a CPO battle over the site."

This came out before TF latest interview. Perhaps now that he has extended an olive branch, CG may be willing to collaborate (as Wests says). Mendes (Car Giant MD) is a life-long QPR fan and ST holder, which might help.

I dont think Mendes is the one making the decision mate.. Mind you i am sure if the olive branch is made up of a few million quid from Mr Mittal then Geoff Warren (Cousin to Frank Warren and an Arsenal fan), the owner of the land and Car giant, might be willing to share. We do tend to like doing things on the cheap so its a gutter for our lot to find out its going to cost a lump to become an interested party.

                    • Beard's resignation was probably the olive branch to CG.
He either f*cked it up himself or was made the scapegoat.

Feeling very very good about stadium. Some excellent meetings today.

                            • As said both sides are desperate and neither are convinced there in a winning position everyone will be a winner

He feels good about a gazillion things that never seem to materialise. Maybe these tweets originate from an alternative Universe where everything goes his way. But I would not envy the denizens of that other Universe as they are logically subjected to the more realistic/pessimistic Tony tweets that we are spared.
